I have no idea what is wrong with tripod it is allowing me edit my pages but I can't preview them so if things are out of wack lol sorry I can't see them.
Aunt Bernieces funeral is today at 1 pm.
I will check in tonight and see if tripod is going to allow me to see what I am doing. Until then Have a great day everyone and God bless you and your family. I have received some beautiful gifts here is my first gift of the new Year.. Thanks Nancze it is so nice of you to create this card to help bring in the New Year.

3 for Thursday

New Things!
1. What are 3 things you’d like to try (whether activities, foods, etc.,)?
{1.}I would like to try being the type of friend that so many are to me.. Norma, Nancze, Tea and Ann to mention a few..
{2} I would like to try to do some wood work with a saw.. Getting cut and the noise scares me so probably won't do much of it even if I get the chance.
{3} I would like to do some oil painting. My great uncle was a artist and it always amazed me how he could create a masterpiece.

2. What are 3 things you’ve tried and wished you hadn’t?
{1}Pig brains, Still can't believe they served them and I ate them..
{2}Water skiing, I still draw up when I think how I landed..
{3} Wearing my feelings on my sleeve. Just in certain situations.

3. What are 3 things people have tried to get you to try and you refuse? What’s your reasons for not trying it?
{1}To buy things. I refused because I couldn't afford them..
{2} To bungie jump.. No way I can't see the reason or the fun in it.
{3}To have a one on one with Dad about the home place.. Nope he is barely talking to any of us as it is.

4. What are 3 naughty things you’d like to do (interpret naughty things any way you’d like)?
{1} To spam all those people out there that are spaming me with the sex stuff.
{2}I Can't think of anything naughty so I guess nothing. Really all I could think of was just plain MEAN so I will keep them to myself and pray about them.

5. What are 3 wishes you have?
{1.}Better comminications with my Dad
{2.} FIL to continue his life without to much pain.
3. A romantic week-end away with the hubby and it being his idea not mine..

BONUS: What 3 things worry you the most that may happen in the new year?
We are not suppose to worry about things in the future but my human side worries..
{1} Tracy being happy with Destry till death do they part.
{2} Tiffani being happy with Kevin till death do they part.
{3.}Mine and Hubby's Health problems .. Ya know we aren't youngings anymore.

~ ~ ~ ~~
You are spoiling me Nancze. Thank you they are so sweet.

Your friendship means more to me than you will ever know.

You have touched my heart in such a way that our friendship will always be..Hugs..

UPDATE: Carol cracked her right elbow bone at her work. She fell over a outside ashtray.. 4 - 6 weeks in a sling.. If she wasn't hurt I would laugh but Sis I am sorry you fell.. HUGS

At the playroom one of the projects that we are doing right now is drawing a bear using Preset shapes in PSP and or Photoshop. A Playroom Administrator set up the tutorial. Thank you Tricia for the challenge. If you read my journal you will know that my family loves to play cards so I made some cards for my bear to hold.

OK I admit it I am hooked on these question sites.. Here is a new one I found today.
    Thursday Threesome
    Commercial Holiday Madness!

  • Onesome: Commercial- Are there any TV commercials that really grab you? I mean, to the point you want to show them to other people?
Yes my girls laugh at their Dad and I because we talk about commercials.
Have you seen the hamster in the blockbuster commercial.. He is so cute.. Super Bowl Sunday is coming up soon and I can't wait to see the new Budwieser commercial.

  • Twosome: Holiday- Valentine's Day is coming up, do you celebrate the holiday or do you prefer to just let it pass you by?
I love Valentines day.. It is for the Sweethearts and I am very lucky to have such a sweetie.. After 30+ years we usually go out for dinner and say HVD maybe a card is exchanged.
it is a joke in my family that DH waits until he is on his way home to start trying to find even a card... And Yes DH they do sell Millionare candy at Wal Mart..

  • Threesome: Madness- Even if you don't celebrate it, do you sucumb to the madness and buy up boxes of chocolates, just for you?

I have never bought Valentine candy for myself and I don't like that cheap chocolates but if the good chocolate was to go on sale I would buy it after the holiday..

How happy I am that Friday is here. Not that I am wishing my life away but it this been a hard work week..
Last night we gathered at the Ranch house ~ a home town resturant ~ where we had dinner to celebrate Tiffani's Birthday.. Joining us and Tiffani and Kevin, Tracy and Destry. Afterwards we went to Tiffs where she opened her gifts and we visted for a while.

I appreciate every tag I receive daily and I love it when new people tag board.. Makes me feel even more special .. Brien taged me so I wanted to return the favor.. Saturday, January 11, 2003:
Last night Chester filled in as Basketball coach for Tracy because she had to work.
David and Robin came out around 7:30 and we played hearts until midnight.. I love playing cards and it always great to have company.
Tiffani went to Odessa Texas with Kevin, work related. BUT before that on her way home from work on a 2 lane Hwy. she hit a dog, not killing it but injured it... Doing what Mom and Dad had taught her she went to the closest house to inform them... Well the lady went off the deep end.. Now don't get me wrong I have my Grandpup and I would freak if someone hit him but HELLO dogs aren't suppose to get in the road.. The woman blocked Tiffani in her drive by standing at the back of her pick-up saying she wasn't leaving until she gave her name and calling her all kinds of bad things.. Telling her she is going to sue her for vet bills and for a new dog. OK the dog is still alive and needs to go to the vet and Tiff is trying to get her to just help the dog.. Oh well some folks are just plain crazy.. I can't believe she never even asked Tiff if she was OK which it did put a crack in the front of the bumper but it is not a biggie to the kids..
Well we hope the dog recovers but we hope not to hear from this lady.. Well got to get the cards suffled looks like we will be playing cards again tonight.. Oh we have created monsters.
Tiffani and Kevin played one game of hearts with us when they came to pick-up gizmo.. Then David and Robin came over and we played cards until midnight.. Gee I am getting to old for this but love it while we are playing.. Robin took my cell phone home with her thinking it was hers..
Tracy hasn't brought the 4-wheelers and trailer home yet sure hope they didn't have any trouble while out looking at the land they are wanting to buy.

    Thursday Thumb-Twiddler

    1. Hanging out with your boss and co-workers, you're made very uncomfortable by some of the sexist humor being bandied about. What do you do?
Well my boss is my Husbans and I have no co-workers but when I worked at other places some co-workers I could get away with telling them to knock it off ...but I usually bring up church and they change the humor and their mood. Does everytime.

    2. You are sure a neighbor child is being regularly abused by her parents, such that you worry for her health and life. The police and Child Protective Services are unable or unwilling to intervene. What would you do?
PRAY ! and PRAY so more! then I think my DH would handle it but I would try to befriend the little guy and get a camera take shap of them but I would assume that if they are being abused this wouldn't be possible.. but with evidence surely someone has to listen.

    3. What modern invention would you most miss if it were removed from your life?
    Electricity.. No Electricity no PC..

    Friday, January 17:

Last night the 6 of us went to Purcell and ate Mexican food.. It was a good meal and we had a nice visit with each other.. Believe it or not no cards last night.. LOL
Well got to get to work ......Have a great day!

    UPDATE ON MY DAY
I had forgotten that Tiffani had the day off for her January 9th birthday.. So I took 1/2 day off and we went to OKC with hopes in purchasing a new sofa that she had seen the previous week-end.. The saleslady showed us the sofa and we visted about the grade of fabric, warranty, what comes on the sofa.. There were 6 throw pillows on the sofa and I asked if all of them came with it.. yes she said.. I said that is unusual are you sure and again she said yes all 6 large pillows.. Tiffani asked if they would be 3 and 3 and she said yes.. So Tiffani said she would take it so after it was paid for we went to the loading dock to get the sofa.. The young man that was bringing out the sofa DROPPED the sofa.. Oh boy Tiffani and I both about died. No visual damage so we let him go ahead and load it..Probably shouldn't have but we did. Then I noticed that there was only 5 pillows.. After visiting with the RUDE warehouse manager and calling the manage of the store.. EVANS..... Tiffani was told that we misunderstood that if she wanted another pillow that she would buy it.. Let me tell you Tiffani stood her grounds but it cost her the Sofa.. She had the warehouse manager void the pickup ticket and we went back to EVANS and had her check returned to her.. I am proud of her for standing her ground but I know she really wanted the sofa.. It is sad that the large furniture stores are so uncaring.. A $800.00 purchase was voided over a $30 pillow..
Then we go to good ole Wal-Mart in Norman where we had called that morning to confirm that they had 3 4-drawer file cabinets in stock.. The department person said they had just gotten a shipment in but they weren't on the floor yet but just ask and they would get us three out the bin or trailer.. Well it just wasn't our day.. No one seemed to know anything about any 4 drawer file cabinets very less three of them.. So after what probably seems boring to you was a very tiring day to me and Tiffani.. We went by BOB's Bar_bQue and ordered take out for four. Yummmie.. But heck while we were waiting the manager and a customer got into a word fight with manager telling the lady to leave. At this time we knew that we were not the only ones that was having a bad day...
Finally at home, David and Robin came over so we spilt our 3 meal take out with them with plenty left over and then settled in for a game of rummy..
Tracy is helping Robert W. coach 4th and 5th graders girls Basketball. This is their first year to get to play games. Tracy called when you was finished and was so excited to get to be doing this..
Well this has bee a interesting day.. But it wouldn't hurt my feelings if tomorrow is less active.. Oh one more thing Torie is in labor at Norman hospital we went by to see her for about a hour but I haven't heard yet if my new GREAT NIECE has entered this world yet.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday, January 18:
Today I am setting my Valentine set from Graphic from:

Thank you Marsha for offering this beautiful set as linkware. I appreciate you sharing your talent.
I have a new GREAT niece.. I haven't gotten to see her yet but her and Mom are doing fine..
Weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 19 inches long.
I believe they named her Jamie Rose.. Jamie after her dad and Rose after my mom Rosemary.
I have been thinking.. Which is dangerous.
My Mom had 7 children. one died at birth..
When people ask how many there are of us I say 6.. Not going into the brother that died at birth.. But he is included in family history.
Out of the 6 only 3 of us have been married to only one person and have no Step children. Two of the ones in a second marriag have step-children but none have raised them. Most have not because of the age of the children at the time of marriage.
I have 13 natural living nephew/nieces and one nephew that passed at birth..
I have five step nephew / niece that were not raised in the home of my sibiling but siblin now has a relationship with stepchildren..
Now I have nephew/nieces that have step children..
When people ask how many greats I have I never know how to answer.. I have step greats and just greats how do I count them? Does it depend on if the children are a part of the parents lives? Humm going to keep thinking on this.. Just wondering if anyone else has steps.

    SUMMARY:
    6 siblings
    14 Nephew/Nieces ~ 13 living 1 died at birth
Step nephew/nieces: 5 ~ None raised by my siblings but sibling do have some relationship with them .. None of these stepchilden attend family funtions anymore. Two of these 5 is all that I would say would even claim kin. Would any attend my funeral.. Maybe two of them.

    13 Natural Great Nephew/nieces:
Three of my natural Nephew/Nieces have Stepchildren giving me
    5 more Great Nephew/Nieces
Step Nephew/Nieces that have children which would also be Great Nephew/Nieces = 3 that I know of.
So if I add them all that makes 18 nephew/nieces and 18 Great Nephew/nieces.. LOL But when asked I have a habit of saying my New great niece is my 13th go figure YOU DO THE MATH.. because I am confused and it is my family.. LOL

    Tuesday January 21
Yesterday Tiffani took Grandpa to get grocreys and on her way home she passes Tories house and just had to stop.. Hahee I asked her too.. She was so excited she got to hold Jamie Rose. She said Jamie has long dark hair and as cute as a button. Caleb is still calling her Rosemary.. We will try to go by next week to see her but I am sure she has had company coming out her ears living on the main path into town.
I received a beautiful card and new valentine blinkie from
    Laura ~ My FrontPorch ~
I will then loaded to my Valentine page later today. Thank you Laura.

As usual My New Year's Resolution was to lose weight. Well I haven't even tried to say the least. Well I have been visiting a blog that joined MyNest Family Fiendly top blog list and it is just amazing.

    Felicia's This n That

I had taged her more than once that I SHOULD join in on her Weight loss challeges. Well Felcia tagged me and asked WHY NOT??? Well Felcia I don't know. Is it lack of want to?? I don't have time to open another journal for Weight loss entries and with the MyNest Family friendly blog list I have my hands full visiting so I don't think I would find time for the webring. So here is the deal I will pop in and see how you are doing and I hope you will do the same for me.. I just weighed in at 167.. I am 5'3 1/2" medium built. How much should my weight be? I am on my first glass of water.. I will be peeing the bed tonight for sure.

    Thursday: January 23:
I woke this morning thinking about my journal and my adventure that I am having with it being on line. I love that I have connected with a few new Okies but thought it is funny how I am trying to find something to say that would be interesting.. So if I bore you please remember ~ My Journal ~ was and is for me to record happenings for my girls and possibly for my grandchildren.
As I read others blogs last night I realized that I am very very blessed.. Not that I didn't know that already. My life is full of happiness and I hope and pray it stays that way..
One more reasons that I feel blessed this morning.. Thanks Nancze your little gift brighted my morning more that my cup of coffee. :O)

    ~*Thursday Threesome*~

Onesome: Still- Can't hold still? What type of music gets you going? I mean to where your just have to crank it up and start moving to the beat!
Um....I would say...the oldie songs. But it really depends on my mood to begin with.

Twosome: Life- Life in the fast lane? What would it take to slow you down a bit and let you relax this weekend? Hmmm? ...or are you going to turn That Game on? (...and who's going to win?)
Yep there will be football in my house!!! I have no idea who is going to win. And to slow down means DH watching football and me playing on the PC.

Threesome: In watercolor- Hey! How about wall art? What do you like to have hanging around the place for decoration? Kid pics? Knick-knacks? ...the Monet or two?
Depends on which room your in. I have art type pictures on the walls in the living room and the girls graduating pictures.. Other places of the house it is a mix of pictures, crafty things...and of course DH golf ball collection.. He has to have his corner.. Teehee.

    ~*Thursday Thumb Twiddler*~

    1. If there were to be a televised, public execution broadcast in prime time, would you watch it?
    Get out of here. .

Absolutely not! NO NO NO. I watch little tv as it is and I probably would say the end of times are nearer than I think they are now if the media and the broadcast networks was to air something like that.

    2. If you could mold to your liking your memories of any past experiences, would you do so?
I am not sure what this question means.. but I do remember the best of past experiences so maybe I am already molding them.

    3. The excitement of the Holiday Season is long over. What "big day" are you looking forward to next?
Super Bowl Sunday and the rapture.

Sindee made my morning. It's is great when you open your mail and in the middle of all the junk that is delivered is mail from a friend.
Thank you very much Sindee I am honored to be listed at Sindee's Syllable's and your Valentine card is the sweetest. I will be displaying it on my Valentine page.

    Joining in on the

    Circle of words

I cannot believe that the inscrutable universe turns on an axis of suffering; surely the strange beauty of the world must somewhere rest on pure joy. -Louise Bogan
    1. Do you ever sit back and just smell the flowers? Do you ever lay in the sun and appreciate just life in general? Do you look at the good in things...or are you always searching for the bad? Do you spend minutes and hours worrying what might happen, instead of realizing you control your own destiny...you can make it happen....or not?
    A. smell the flowers: Not like I should
    B. Not this time of year but yes I count my blessings and appreciate my life daily
    C. Human nature takes over and I worry about the happiness of my girls and that I can't control but I still worry
    D. Controling my own destiny is not always possible. Events that surround us have some control and then I let destiny/God take over which is what I should do anyway.

Your diamonds are not in far distant mountains or in yonder seas; they are in your own backyard, if you but dig for them. -Russell H. Cornwell
    2. We all have within us dreams that are waiting to be fulfilled. "Diamonds to be Discovered" so to speak. But how many of us really take our dreams and turn them into reality? If you could do anything right now, what would you do? What would you be? How would you do it? And why haven't you done it already?
    A. Do anything right now what would I do: Well I should have started long ago being more financially sound looking forward to my retirement age than I am now. I would have focused more on our investments and made sure that DH did the same, other than that I am happy where I am and Who I am
    B. What would I be: Really I know I am boring but I am happy being ME
    C. How would I acheieve it: If I was to choose a different path for my life I would have to have some college education but other than that I would learn to type faster.
    D. Why haven't I: I was raised in the time frame when there was only one bread winner.. Wooo Baby has that ever changed.
If your everyday life seems poor, don't blame it; blame yourself; admit to yourself that you are not enough of a poet to call forth its riches; because for the creator there is no poverty and no poor indifferent place. - Rainer Maria Rilke
    3. Procrastination. Procrastination is our worst enemy. It is what makes us tell ourselves that we will start the diet tomorrow. We will clean the kitchen floor tomorrow. We will tell our husbands that we love them....tomorrow. You get the idea. We are all guilty of some type of procrastination. What types are you guilty of? And don't you think it's about time you stop thinking about what you should be doing and plain old just start doing it!? Every time you procrastinate you are robbing yourself of an opportunity. Even that clean kitchen floor will make you enjoy the evenings dinner more knowing that it is done and you don't have to do it tomorrow.
What types of procrastination am I guilty of? Taking care of my health.. Quiting smoking, going through old clothing, Humm getting organized.. Oh I should be doing something about some of these instead of just thinking about them.
Thank you Candi! I enjoyed doing the Circle of words.

    Saturday January 25:
Yesterday I went to Chickasha to see my sister and to pick up a couple of filing cabinets from Chickasha Wal-mart.. Couldn't believe Norman didn't have any and they did.. Anyway Carol wanted to do a late lunch and when I found out that Nancze was off work I started in trying to contact her.. I was tickle when she said she would joined us.. I not only got to meet her but her lovely daughter and son-in-law. Carol had to go back to work and Nancze said she could take me back to my vehicle so we sat a while longer and visted.. And a great visit it was talking 90 miles per hour.. Or I was.. I am such a county hick that I appreciate Nancze making me feel so much at ease. So didn't even make me feel bad that I couldn't correctly pronounce the resturants name.. LOL. It was great meeting someone that I had no connection with other than by internet which I had never done before now. Nancze we will have to do it again someday.
Well I try to add more but Tracy is coaching her first 5th graders Basketball game so I am going to go watch..
So for now Have a great day everyone.

    Sunday January 26:
Tracy's little girls team lost yesterday but they tried their hardest.. She did really good with them I am a proud Momma.. After the game I took Tracy and Destries children out for breakfast then of course we had to make a stop at Wal-Mart and then Tracy took me out to see the land that she and Destry are trying to buy.. Good luck kido it is a very nice place.

Last night when DH got off work we meet Tiffani, Kevin, Tracy and David and Robin at the little Mexican food place in town for supper and all came back to our house for cards except Tracy.. We played our first game of 6 man canasta.. Not bad but you do have to play different. First game my team only got 150 points the other team kept going out on us with one of us holding to many cards.. It was fun anyway and a new experience.

Yesterday was Tea's birthday and I can't believe I didn't have a chance to get back on the computer until after midnight to wish her a Happy Birthday.. I am so ashamed of myself.. She has been the dearest internet friend to me and I let her day pass without sending her special Birthday wishes.. Sorry Tea if you read this. I did remembered but that is all I got done.. What type of friend am I?? At this moment I don't feel like a very good one at all.

Ending my post with "Two Very Good Questions" that I received in my email from my niece. I usually won't open fwd mail but it surprised me one coming from her since she is not one to forward anything.
Please answer to yourself before you go to the answers..
    Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis; would you recommend that she have an abortion?
Read the next question before scrolling down to the answer of this one.
    Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:
Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs.
Which of these candidates would be your choice?
(Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer).

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt,
    Candidate B is Winston Churchill,
    Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.
And by the way: Answer to the abortion question if you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.
Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone...and remember,
Amateurs built the ark .... Professionals built the Titanic

Trying this new inline frame which I hope makes my journal easier to read..
Well I weighed in which I knew I hadn't lost any great amount but I am proud of myself 2 pounds is better than none. More water this week and start my bends for a type of exercise and maybe next week weigh in will be better.
Vera our neighbor called this morning.. Seems our one last guiean has taken to roosting on their front porch.. And leaving poop behind for her guest to walk through so our one little grey guiean will be put in his pen at night for awhile.. I feel so sorry for him/her to be the only one left of the ones we purchased last spring. We are planing on purchasing more as soon as the weather will allow us to have little ones.
The NOTE I sent yesterday to MyNest Family Friendly Top Blog list Members
    RESET OR NOT TO RESET
has received two members responses and they don't seem to care either or.. Oh well maybe I over reacted to one person dropping out.. I still can't decide what to do.. I want to be able to vote for my favorites.. Still thinking on this issue.

I have alot of work to do this morning but I will try to update my week-end as I can. Okie hugs to everyone.
Doctor appointment made for Friday.. Boob squeeze time..

Joe Crouch One of DH ole High School friends passed away Monday.. Services will be Thursday. I am sure we will go if the creek don't rise. The moring emails I usually dread going to because of all the trash that is delivered while I sleep.. It is so great to find a treasure mixed in with it.. Thanks Biene.

    Circle Of Words
    Your Personal Treasure Map
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. -Matthew 6:21
    1. What if someone told you that all you needed to do to make your dreams come true is to create a personal treasure map. In this map would be all of the things you want in your life. These things can be people, things, a certain job, a location...etc. Well I can't tell you that the things on your map will come true, but I can tell you that everything in your outer world is created in your mind first. With that said...what would be on your personal treasure map for say...10 years from now?
I am happy with how my life is so to keep it that way on my treasure map would be for God to be a even larger portion of mine and my families lifes. then I would want overall Happiness for my family, Good health, and a plan of keeping our finances under control, for the world not to be such a violent place, for C.C.& R. construction to continue with thier business so I can have a stay at home job and I guess I should put I would like to have Grandchildren..

    Embracing Joyful Simplicities
Year by year the complexities of this spinning world grow more bewildering and so each year we need all the more to seek peace and comfort in the joyful simplicites. -Woman's Home Companion, December 1935
    2. We all have great moments in our lives that are marked by events such as the day we got married, the day we finally got our dream job, our baby was born...etc. The days that we will never forget. But what about all the little things? These are the joyful simplicities the engage our senses...that nourish our body and soul. Such as the smell of your favorite homemade soup filling your kitchen. The joy of the sun shining through your living room window on a summers day. The warmth that fills your heart as you peek at your rearview mirror and see your children playing in the back seat of your car. What types of joyful simplicities do you have in your life? Try to name at least 3 things...or more!!
The smell of my morning coffee, the laughter that comes when we are playing cards with the family, Those little car honks the girls give me when they are home. Seeing the cats and guiene run to meet DH when he pulls in the drive. Wathcing the birds flock the feeders each morning. Watching our goldfish rush around and around and around.
    Creative Excursions;The Gift of Time
I celebrate myself, and sing myself I loafe and invite my soal... -Walt Whitman
    3. When is the last time you went on a creative excursion? What this means is something that you do by yourself...for yourself. This is where we take away the title of wife...mother...student....teacher...etc....and look inside ourselves. When is the last time you did something that made you feel good. Something that celebrated yourself...that showed your creative side...or your energetic side, or even your really needed a break from life's daily routine side? And don't feel bad if you can't think of something, this is very hard to do. But maybe this will give you the extra push to not feel guilty the next time you really want to do something for yourself.
It would probably be when I meet Norma or the girls for breakfast during the week when I should be home working or When I put everything aside and do some folk art Painting or do a flower arrangement. Those are things I do for my creative side not for others. I guess going to the beauty shop for the heck of it. But I don't think even at these times I can truely put aside being Mom, wife and friend.

    Thursday, January 30:
Foggy morning here.. The old saying "you can cut it with a knife" is true this morning. Gizmo ~ My Grandpup ~ is here with me today.. Tiffani will be coming over after work today to do payroll taxes so it is easier to bring him here before she goes to work.. And I enjoy his company.
I adopted this sweet reminder in honor of our service people that are serving at this time. Thanks Nancze for having it available to us. I hope to see more of them in others blogs.
    Nancze
Tracy my lovely little girl called and she had ran out of gas.. This is her second time that I know of to allow this to happen. Dear Mom took the only gas can that had fluid in it and off I went.. Crap it is Diesel not gasoline ... She only put a little in before we realized it. So we pour that out and go into town and fill the can with gasoline.. Well Tracy is off running full steam ahead and I am suppose to be working but I had to get this entered before I forgot.. LOL.. One more thing. Tracy had her best friend Erin with her. They are going shopping.. WEDDING DRESS.... Oh my baby Tracy is going to do it no matter how much I drag my feet.. Hugs Tracy I love you !
For those that deleted their mail that has been forwarded like I usually do. I opened and read this one ~Why I don't know but I am glad I did. Thanks Chelsea for sending it to me.
    Imagine this happening to you.
One Sunday morning during church service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter, both covered from head to toe in black and carrying submachine guns.
One of the men shouted, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where you are"!
Immediately, the choir fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled. Out of the 2,000, there only remained around 20.
The man who had spoken took off his hood, looked at the preacher and said

"Okay Pastor, I got rid of all the hypocrites". Now you may begin your service. Have a nice day!" And the two men turned and walked out.

    Friday, January 31:
I can't really say that this is a Friday that I am happy for.. January is coming to a end and I don't feel that I have enjoyed much of it.. Reading back through my journal I know that I have but time seems to fly by so quickly.
Today I have that great Boob squeeze appointment. What a way to end out the month.
After my Doctor appointment I went to Hobby Lobby and found a special gift for each of the girls then I went to Wal-Mart and picked the necessary things and also found the girls books for their State quarters. I will give them to them for Valentines day also. Sure hope they don't read this before.. Before I left Norman I went to Bob's Barbque and got two brisket dinners for us to eat that night... David and Robin came over and we played cards until midnight.. Tracy has BB practice with a game tomorrow at 11am.. Tiffani and Kevin are having dinner out with Janet and Bobby.. Friends of theirs.

    Saturday February 1:
    Remembrance of Columbia
    Adopted from Christinas blog,2-07-2003~
Approximately 9 a.m. Febuary 1, 2003 Saturday: All vehicle data is lost. The shuttle is 207,135 feet over north-central Texas and is traveling about Mach 18.3. NASA officials try to re-establish communication for several minutes.
Columbia had been expected to land at Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 9:16 a.m.
Texas and Louisiana residents report a loud noise and bright balls – shuttle debris -- in the sky.
The six Americans and Israel's first astronaut were 16 minutes from landing when the shuttle broke apart.
I'm saddened by the events. My heart goes out to the families of the astronauts of the Space Shuttle Tragedy

Tiffani and I went to Tracy's BB game, they played good but lost. After the game the three of us picked up Erin and went to Chickasha to look at the amitheather at the park. I do beleive we found the place if the building is able for renting. She is bound and determined she is getting married outside and we have NOTHING around close for such a occasion.
Then on to OK City to look at bridal dresses.. Tracy has selected two as her favorites. We probably would have purchased then but she hadn't discussed with Destry some details about his attire that would make buying premature.. Over all we had a decent day but there were to many tense moments. Which is really funny because it is always this way when the three of us go shopping together.. :O)
We stopped at ElChico and had supper while at the mall, Tiffani and I had our rings inspected and cleaned and Tiffani had her cell phone attachments installed. I was introduced to Destry's Mom and step dad and brother and sister in law outside of ElChico.. It wasn't the greatest way to meet them but atleast I have meet them.
Later when we finally got home Kevin meet Tiffani and our house and Yep that's right we played cards which is always fun.. It was a full day..

    Sunday February 2:
This has been a truely laided back day.. We should have been outside the weather was perfect but we just couldn't find the energy. Carol came over for awhile and we played on the PC trying to do a design for a pin for the Eagels Lodge finally giving up for now.. DH and I have gave a true example of couch potatoes today..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday February 3:
Well I weighed in this morning and I wasn't surpised at all that I had only lost one pound but was tickled that I had lost and not gained... I seem to do fairly well during the week but my week-end eating is not good at all but Oh my goodness the barbque and the mexican food was great.
Today is going to be busy busy paying the company first of the month bills and getting things ready to go to the accountant.
Carol is going to call the Chickasha City clerks office to see if the building is available for June 14th for Tracy.. I am setting on pins and needles waiting to hear from her..
UPDATE: Tracy date has changed to June 21st.. Whew at least the building is reserved..
Now back to work...SO until I blog again Have a great one.. Whatever your one is..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday February 4:
Last night after work I wanted to do some playing on a Playroom project in PSP but seems that some of my preset are gone. Thank you ANN ~ from the playroom for sending them to me.. Well now I got them and can't get them to direct to the tool option so that I can use them.. Spent way to much time on trying to do this but Oh well I say that because I never got it to work.
I can't wait to talk to Tracy this morning.. I am wondering if the wedding date will change again.. REMINDER: Her first date was set for June 14th.. We couldn't get the building at the park until after 5pm that night so she chose May 31. When I called to reserve May 31 wasn't available either and all they had left was June 21 and June 28th.. So in a last minute rush Tracy chose the 21st.. Laying in bed last night I realized that the 21st is a week-end they don't have Destry's children.. SO I wonder if that is going to be a problem. Both of his children are part of the wedding party so I guess it will depend on if the mothers will allow them to be there on a day that Destry isn't suppose to have them. Oh my goodness what a mess.. Again I am on pins and needles until I can talk to Tracy.. Update: Over reacted Tracy said no problem..

    Wednesday February 5:
Last night about 7pm, DH myself and Tiff meet in town for dinner at our one and only local resturant that is open past 7. Afterwards DH and I worked on past due invoices and other misc. things that needed his attention with the company.. Working at home is great but then again it isn't because some work days never stop. We got everything caught up for now but the major online safety questionaire they he hates doing.. LOL ...
I tried one more time to work on my PSP to get the preset shapes working but NOPE not to be YET but I will not give up. They are in there I just have to figure out how to get them to work with the tool option.
Today is a work filled day trying to get things undercontrol so I can take off Friday to go shopping again with Tracy..
Tiffani and I email eachother back and forth during the day so I stay on line most of the day. It is so much fun to check my hotmail and have mail from her..
I picked up a couple new things for MyNest Military blogging family page.. My family appreciates everything that our service people do and will be doing for us.

It is snowing here today.. In this picture it is just beginning to snow. If I don't forget I will get another one taken about noon.
The snow as it just beginning to fall,2-06-2003~
It is so pretty coming down but I feel for the ones that are out in it..

I talked to Norma and she is on her way to town to get Milk and bread.. Seems like when you live in the country that you always run out of the basics at the wrong time. Norma Tracy and I are suppose to go look and take measurements at the building at Chickasha tomorrow and start the adventure of Tracy's wedding... Hummm we may put it off depending on the road conditions. 133 days left before she becomes Mrs.

    What lies behind us
and what lies ahead of us
    are tiny matters compared to
    what lies within us

I saw this quote at Jenn's Whispers and I am a sucker for quotes so I had to bring it to mynest.

    Friday February 7:
Norma rode up with Leo and was here by 7am. When Tracy arrived at 8am Norma took a few pictures of her for Norma's class homework.. It was neat to see the things Norma is learning to do in photography.
Off to Chickasha to see and make measurements in the building. We picked Carol up at her work place first then to City hall to get the key and to sign the agreement of rental. "It is formally rented and paid for from noon to 9pm June 21st"
Long story short. The key they gave us didn't fit. they finally found a person with one to let us in to measure. The inside of the building has no great backdrop area for the bridal table so we will have to come up with something to make it pretty.. LOL figured we would have to anyway...... Any simple cheap Suggestions.. Painted cement blocks with a bare window to the right of where the table will be.. No ledge in window.. Tracy really doesn't like lattic so we are going to have to do some thinking on this.
Back to story: The sun was out but oh baby it was cold. We took pictures with my dital until I couldn't feel my fingers any longer but now we will be able to refresh our minds on what is needed without having to drive back to Chickasha so ofter.
Carol told us about a bridal shop in Chickasha where Tracy found another dress she liked. After trying it on, we put it on a 3 day hold so Tiffani could come over and look at it. So we will be going back over tomorrow after Tracy BB game.
We still had time so we took Carol back to work grabed a bite at Sonic and off to Norman to Hobby lobby. The plans were to look at flowers to get a idea of what Tracy would like.. Making another long story short.. She picked out her flowers.. Wow they are beautiful and half price to boot... Perie, pale yellow and off white.. So spring and so Tracy..
Once home Norma put the Maid of Honor, bridesmaid and bridal arrangements together.. They are so pretty..
Supper: Leo, Norman and I meet DH at the mexican food resturant in town.. Then Tiffani and Kevin join us.
Tracy and Destry will have the kids this week-end so I am not sure what tomorrow will hold but I am sure after the BBall game we will be off to Chickasha once again..
    Have a great week-end everyone.
Thanks Carol and Norma for a fun filled day and all the help that you did and will do for Tracy and I.. And Tracy thanks for allowing us to be such a large part of your wedding plans.

    Saturday February 8:
Tracy coached by herself today.. Robert couldn't get away from work. Tiffani and I didn't get there until the last quarter seems like I just couldn't get started this morning. Dalton, Brooklyn, Tracy, Tiffani and I went to Chickasha after the game and meet Carol at Braums for a quick bite of breakfast then we went to the bridal shop ~ New Beginnings ~ in Chickasha to look at the dress one more time.. Well it is a done dress is on a payment plan.. Tiffani picked out and was measured for the Maid of Honor dress, Dalton was measured for the Best mans Tux..
On to OK City we bought a few more flowers at Hobby lobby in OK City.. We found a dress for Brooklyn at Crossroads.. So we are getting there.. Finally home at 7:30.. I am getting to old for two shopping days in a roll.

    Wednesday February 12:
I don't want to think this morning.. I don't want to watch the news.. I don't want to be afraid of what could happen on our USA soil.. I feel confused about planning for my daughters wedding when times are so unsure.. Our terror alert is at orange.. When it changed to orange I don't remember.. But HELLO why is this just hitting home with me today.. I am so confused this morning.. our news is telling us to be prepared, to get things gathered into one place for a chemical invasion.. WHAT? How can you prepare.. Make a safe room.. Well heck fire I will probably be out shopping.. Sure hope they have a safe room. Have a bag packed at all times with flashlight, batteries, water, can food, etc.. Oh my that sounds more like a suitcase.. Not a backpack..
Tell me do you have things ready? ARE YOU GOING TO BUY PLASTIC AND DUCKTAPE FOR YOUR WINDOWS LIKE THE GOVERMENT IS ADVISING????
Look at the list that one of our local tv stations has put out. KFOR.com

This is so sweet and thank you Secret Sister for this special Blog Angel.. I really did need her this morning.. Whomever you are a big OKIE HUG..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday February 13:
I feel better.. Last night the girls and I meet at Wal-mart and purchased each family new first aid kits, batteries and some water which to me is the main items on the KFOR list. Afterwards we went to our local cafe and had supper where Kevin joined us. We discussed during supper what we refer to the ~ game plan ~ then laughed at our plan.. Well anyway we feel better that we at least haven't buried our head in the sand.
Today is another day.. What will be will be.. Continued prayers for all those that are serving in the military to keep us safe.

Thank you MaryBeth, this so cute. I love visiting your web home..

Thank you for offering this beautiful piece.

Darlynn made a request for bloggers to join in on a Valentine post tomorrow of how they meet their sweeties. I am planning on joining in so my great great grands will know how DH and I meet. That is if they find my Journals..

    Friday February 14:
Darlynn made a request for bloggers to join in on a Valentine post today ~ Valentines Day ~ of how they met their sweeties.
I am joining in but first I wanted to begin my post with a parade of some of the gifts that I have received from my friends. Please allow time for them to load.. I appreciate each of your friendships and those that I didn't get loaded I am sorry and thank you also.. A special thanks to each of my playroom pals that made me many Valentine cards.. I am sorry I didn't get them loaded to share here.

Now to tell you how we met..

The summer of 1969. I was a Freshman in high school.. Hubby was a senior.. We lived within 6 miles of each other but had never had met before.
I was staying the night with a girl friend of mine that lived in the country near me when a Oklahoma tornado decided to visit.. Her parents took us to her grandparents home in town to ride the storm out in their basement....There we were in a dark musty room when something caught my eye and made me forget about the storm brewing outside. A really cute guy sitting over in the corner. I asked my friend who he was, she thought he lived next door but didn't know his name. My brain was clicking on how to get his attention. I wish I could say that I had a great line but nope I set there like a lump on a log gigling with my friend while the storm passed. Then the time came to leave the storm is over.. Oh my heart was pounding this guy was following me up the steep steps I was thinking I have to say something.. Before I could think of anything I stumbled and he assisted me up the steps a smile on his face that I will never forget.. Oh he is sweet and thank goodness he likes clumsy girls...Well that was our first time to met but of course I didn't see him again until later in the summer.. Hey he was a senior and I was a freshman he was a town boy I was a country girl.. But it was meant to be because 30 years ago we became Husband and Wife. Hubby says that he remembers that night well and all but really thought more about being stuck in a basement with a bunch of giggling girls and how he was really pissed that his parents made him go in the first place. He remembers our second meting better but that is another story.. :O)

    but into my heart.

On another note.. Wasn't surviors great last night.. Those ladies need to get a shelter built and quick.. <

    Saturday February 15:
Yesterday was a beautiful day not only because it was Valentine Days but the Oklahoma weather was great.. Little windy but we hit the high 60's. Hubby got me not one but two boxes of turtles. He is so silly and I love him so much. Wonder if he even realizes that I am suppose to be on a diet. Oh well I am impressed that he stoped and got me soemthing he has not ever been big on heart day..
I received another special gift from my Secret Sister.

    Twelve wishes wow..

Taking the day off and going shopping with Tiffani and Norma..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday February 18:
    Happy Birthday Norma...

I had a great day with Tiffani and Norma yesterday.. We started out early with our first stop at Hobby lobby where we got the veil supplies.. Tracy hasn't been able to find one that she really liked so Norma is going to make her one I hope we got the header she wanted... Other purchases was more flowers to make the corsages out of and 6 bundels of greenery to start the decorations for the amitheather.
Then off to Sams where we purchased the clear tableware for the reception and other tableware for the showers. Also purchased Tiffani and I a new outside large umbrella.. Gee we wanted something new for us too.. LOL
Then off to Office Depo where we purchased the shower invitations.. They are sweet I know Tracy will be happy with the choice.. While there we also picked up some clear labels to address the shower invitations and also the Wedding invitations.
Then off to Garden Ridge.. Wow that store overwhelms me.. We seen some things that will need to be purchased but are going to wait on Tracy to make her choice on them..
Then off to MG novelty where Tiffani picked up some things for the Girls night out party.
The weather turned out great which we were thankful for.. Norma is a champ of champs as a friend.. We do feel like we got alot done but much more to do..
Tiffani came on home with me and did the company's payroll taxes.. No rest from work even if it was a holiday.. Then Kevin came over to pick up Tiffani and we squeezed one game of hearts in before they went home.. Oops I didn't win but I had fun.
Wish I could say that we set down to relax but it didn't stop there. DH worked on our personal taxes until bedtime.. If the ole saying what you do on Monday you do all week I am going to fall over.. LOL
Now for today.. WORK.. This is Tiffani's short day so we plan on getting some filing done but that is all that I see on my plate thank goodness.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday February 19:
Today I got my hair trimed up and it may not have made me look any better but sure did make me feel better. While in town I got to visit with Gladys for a little while.. It is always great to see her.
The DH and I took the TAXES to the accountant.. I am so glad they are atleast there now for her to perform some magic so Uncle Sam won't get more of our money.
We made a stop at Paoli and contributed some cash to their one arm bandits.. Yes contributed.. We had never been in there before and it was fun but nothing that I would get addicted to.. I am to tight with our cash I would rather blow it at Wal-Mart..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

I talked to Norma and she is going to Lawton with her Mom and will be picking up some clear combs to go with the veil header.. The one we purchased Monday she doesn't beleive Tracy is going to be happy with without them. Your a champ Norma, Thank you seems so small for all that you are doing.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday February 21:
A light rain here today but the high is still suppose be around 50.. A stay inside day. Gizmo is here with me again today.. The girls and I guess their guys are going to the Blazers hockey game tonight. Dh hubby has been working so many hours that we are going to pass even if he was to get home in time he is just to tired.. I am happy the girls are planning a time together.
Nothing else going on around here but WORK.. and I am thankful for that.
Last night Survivor show the 47 year old Janet was voted off from the ALL LADIES Jaburu tribe .. I think she was ready to go home I loved her ending comment about if you are going through a midlife crisis, she would highly suggest a change of hairstyle. SURVIVOR AMAZON show.. LOL

At the Playroom someone is always posting coloring sheets that you can print off for your kids to color... And of course they always bring the kid out in me.. I enjoyed coloring this little guy..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday February 22:
Last night was a calm stay at home night for hubby and I. The guys didn't join the girls at the hockey game, Kevin had to work late and Destry wasn't planning on going he said anyway.. So Tiff, Tracy, Dalton and Brookly went and had a great time.
Today Hubby is working so I have a little play time so I am going deep into MyNest to do some much needed cleaning.. It would be easiy if I didn't have to worry about broken links..
Wondering if my Secret Sister is going to come forward. I placed the pieces I received in Mynest Pretties and I still don't know who sent them. The last gift was a dozen wishes so I am going to use a wish "I wish I knew who my Secret Sister is" Now to see if I get my wish.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday February 23:
Yesterday was a relaxful day for me. I played on the PC cleaning out some deep corners of MyNest and even tackled a few of those deep corners at my home. Which both needed badly.
Hubby worked all day then we went to supper at the corner cafe in town.. Not bad but not good either. After we got back home we settled in to watch tv.. It didn't take hubby long to deciede that he needed to go on to bed.. He is so tired.
I made a wish yesterday in my wishing well that my Secret sister sent me ~ It was that my Secret sister would come forward to let me know who she is.. Well I haven't gotten that wish yet but I was sent me a wonderful gift from her...

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday February 24:
Yesterday was another relaxful day for me. I played on the PC, did a little laundry and watched alot of tv.. Poor hubby was having to work.
I received another beautiful piece from my Secret Sister it's this so cute..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday February 25:
Last night I had a great evening. Tiffani and Kevin came over and ate homemade Soup with hubby and I .. Of course we squeezed in a game of hearts.. Hubby was playing it for all it's worth to keep us from throwing hearts on him.. setting at 94 for 3 hands.. Tiffani and I fell for it and she ended up going out before her Dad.. He is so tired of working late that he was as excited to have the kids over as I was.
Well today is another work day so I am off of here until my work is done.. Right.. :O) Well I need to get my nose in the books so I can play this afternoon plus Tracy is on her way out here to sleep.. Her water is frozen at her trailer.
Isn't this just the sweeties gif.. Thank you Nancze..
I agree best friends are hard to find and we are lucky to have them..
I praise God for bringing you into my life.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday February 26:
Last night DH and I had supper with Tracy and Destry.. Found out another thing new about him tonight.. He is has no plans on ever ever flying in a plane.... Has a fear of it I guess.
    Happy Birthday Carol

Carol is one of my sisters.. Lovely lady which I am lucky not only to have as a sister but as a friend.
Nothing going around here today except COLD weather and work.. Everyone made it safely to their jobs that I am thankful for.. Now to get them home tonight... I laid out some bacon.. Going to have breakfast for supper tonight..
In the Playroom they have a new tut on sig tags.. this is mine.. I need to practice to get the graphic to match the name.. Thanks Lynne for teaching us this it was fun.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday February 27:
Norma called yesterday afternoon, she emailed me a few pictures for the MSD site and another folder she is needing help with on resizing.. I tried to get into that mail account last night and this morning but can't seem to get connected to the server.. Oh well I will try again later today. Norma has all the wedding Boutonnieres and Corsages done and almost has the reception back drop done she just needs Leo to fine tune it... Hugs and bigger Hugs Norma.
Last night when Hubby got home we ate our breakfast/supper then settled in to watch t.v. and discussed the business of the day.. a routine night..
Tiffani was sick yesterday. She tried to work but at about 2 she gave up and went home early.
Tracy worked at Norman last night...
Today Tracy and I were suppose to get together at PV when she gets off work to look at wedding announcements but that has been canceled considering it is snowing now so I will be trying to get my work done so we can go either this afternoon or tomorrow.

    MARCH

    March

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday March 1:
Hubby took off today for his Birthday.. He went into town and got us breakfast burritos... I know not on my diet. Then we layed around and rested all day. That evening Tiffani, Tracy Hubby and I went to Goldsby to play bingo.. David and Robin meet us there. We had a great time.. Happy Birthday Babe.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday March 2:
Hubby worked today but did get home around 6 which was early considering last week.. They are working 7days a week which is getting old for all of them.. Plus with the mud and cold weather it is miserable for them.
Talked to Norma today she was concerned that I hadn't posted to my journal for a few days.. Thanks Norma for calling to check up on me.. All is fine I am not very organized these days and hadn't had a chance to post.. I will do better..
I picked up a blinkie from Mills Family home page.. I just had to have it even if I am running out of space for things.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday March 3:
A day full of work.. After my normal work day Tiffani will be here when she gets off to do the payroll taxes.. So no time to play this morning.. I am going to skip my weigh in this morning.. I know it isn't good.. :O)
Kevin has a toothache. I sure wish they had dental insurance so he could get them worked on before he ends up loosing some.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday March 4:
Boring yep that's me.. Another day of work. Other than our taxes are done and ready to be picked up from the accountant there is nothing going on around here. I am thinking about starting a new section at MyNest but that will have to wait until I put more thought into it... I have two wonderful friends that sell graphics and I had planed on joining their Monthly Doll collection but I just can't decide if I have time to keep the area up if I do.. The deep dark corners of MyNest need attention before I do anythin. :O) Stay tuned for me to decide what to do.. I use freespace and I am running low on room so maybe I will wait until I can afford or explain to my husband why I want my own domain.. Or maybe I will have their pages open soon.. Or maybe I will just continue as I am ~ drawing things and offering things myself.. LOL Anyhoo I am very proud of you both Tea and MaryAnn.
Update: I went to PV and picked up our taxes and the companies taxes.. I have tons of adjustments to do now.. Poop.. When hubby came home around 6, he ate watch Let's make a Deal the new version, and the took a nap.. I woke him at 10:30 not to go to bed but to go back to work.. Yep he and 4 others had to go put a well back on line.. All this work makes me think of the oil boom back in the late 70's and early 80's. He came back home around 2pm and back up at 5:30 to hit it again.. He is so tired and has every right to be.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday March 5:
Work Work Work.. that is what is again on my list of to do's..
Yesterday was Tiffani's short day. She went by her grandpa's and did his bills. Kevin got some antibotics for his tooth and has another appointment next week to have it extracted.. His parents never took him to the denist as a child so waiting to age of 28 it can't be repaired.
David called last night "Softball tournament" is planned for Saturday the 15th of March.. Wow it doesn't seem like it is time to start again but it is. I should have asked what they are going to be called this year.. They were the Regulators last year.. Guess I need to get the new shirts ordered.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday March 6:
Thank you Nancze for adopting these for me they are adorable.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday March 7:
I had a wonderful day today.. It began at 7:30 this morning when Norma got here.. Tracy got here shortly afterwards. Norma worked on Tracy's flowers and veil then about 10am the three of us went to town and meet Erin T. and her boys for breakfast.. Tracy, Erin and the boys went to Chickasha afterwards so Erin and Riley could be measured for their wedding outfits.. Norma and I went to Norman to Hobby Lobby to purchase some more greenery for the wedding that was now on 1/2 price.. We had a great day.. She is the best of best.
Norma and Leo joined me for supper.. We stopped at Bob's bar-b-que for brisket before heading home.. Only thing missing is my dear Hubby. It is almost 8pm and he is still at work..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday March 8:
Weather wise we are suppose to have two great days here in Oklahoma so my plans are to be outside if the weather is nice.. I would like to start turning the soil in my flowerbeds.. Who know maybe the dang grashoppers won't eat me alive this summer.
Hubby will be working all week-end daylight to after dark so he would be tickled if I got a jump on the yard.
    Have a great week-end everyone..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday March 10:
Back to work.. I hope everyone had a good week-end. Hubby worked all week-end daylight to dark.. Tiffani and Kevin came over yesterday. Tiffani got all C.C.& R. filing done and Kevin got the dinning room baseboards removed and carpet pulled loose so the carpenter can get to work on the floor this morning. Thanks Kids.
BIL and SIL came by yesterday.. They stayed until hubby got home so they could see him.. Nice visit.
This will be a busy week with the carpenter here and it also being payweek.. But I am so excited to get my floor fixed. I have my fingers crossed that the damage can be fixed without costing us a arm and a leg so that I can get new carpet.
About the picture in Saturdays post.. Yep those are grasshoppers.. They got to the poing that you couldn't even have a cookout in the backyard.. That is unless you wanted to eat Grasshoppers. We have tried everything.. From chemicals, burning our actual yard with diesel, to buying guieanes.. I hope that we don't have them this year but since we didn't have much of a winter we probably will.
Got to go get ready for the carpenter..:O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday March 13:
Wow I can't believe it is Thursday already. Monday Grant the carpenter only had to rip a portion of the floor out in the South East corner of the dinningroom where there was termit damage. While tearing it out he found live termites. I called terminix and they came out Tuesday morning to spray while they had easy excess under the floor and they also drilled about 25 holes in our cement porch that ajoins this area of the dinning room and put chemical in them. We have had a contract with terminix for over two years now so I couldn't believe that we had termite activity.. When Grant got here Tuesday morning he didn't want to get in the chemical that terminix had sprayed so he didn't do anything Tuesday.
Wednesday Grant finished up around 2pm. :O)
The total cost was $324.46 including material and labor. Not bad and it should last for a few more years. Now to decide on getting new carpet for the house or to get other small projects done that have been neglected over the years. Both bathrooms need maintance that shouldn't cost to much to get done so I don't know what we will do.. I would like to get the shower replaced before I do the carpet just because I am not sure of the type and style of carpet I want.. Plus the carpet is going to be a big chuck of money.
Other things going on in my little world.. Tiffani's dryer has gone out.. Hugs baby things don't last like they use to.. Kevin had his tooth pulled and feeling much better. Tracy and I are suppose to go get some final wedding things done Friday. Hubby is still working daylight to dark and he is hoping that this week they will finish up the project.
Sad news MaryAnn has closed her graphic site and resigned from being a administrator at the myfamily.com playroom. I don't know the reason but my thoughts and prayers are with her.
I have enjoyed playing at myfamily.com playroom the last few weeks. It is great to be part of a great site with so many talented people.
I was so happy to hear that they not only found Elizabeth Smart but found her alive, and seemingly unhurt. So many of these child abduction cases turn out so sad, it's nice to have one with a happy ending for once

    Thursday March 20:
March Madness is being held in Oklahoma City so I will not be doing any shopping in the City this week-end.

    Last night update:
Operations to disarm Iraq have begun, President Bush announced during a speech to America tonight.
The president confirmed the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world.
News reports from Baghdad showed anti-aircraft artillery streaming into the sky. Western reporters spoke of hearing bombs drop in the western part of the city – which is home to many government buildings.
"On my orders, coalition forces have begun striking selected targets of military importance to undermine Saddam Hussein's ability to wage war," the president said from the Oval Office at 10:15 p.m. Eastern time. Bush stressed this will be a broad and concerted campaign.
He said the coalition – 35 nations contributing in a variety of ways – is moving to disarm Hussein and put a stop to his murderous rule.
"Every nation in this coalition has chosen to bear the duty and share the honor of sharing in our common defense,"

Yesterday Norma called to check in on me.. She is so sweet. With all that she has going I appreciate her thinking of me. They bought a new brushog.. And have already taking it back for repairs. Leo backed into a pipe and it caused damage to the point that the blades hit the sides.. Sure hope the warranty covers it for them.. And as Norma said it could have been worse.. He could have been hurt better the new bushog than him.
I received this pretty in my email last night from my Secret Sister. It is so cute. I really have enjoyed getting gifts from my Secret Sister.. And whoever she is job well done.. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE.. and everyone is helping keep the secret.

I guess I should have known that my Secret Sister was Nancze but I was thrown off track by her also sending me beautiful things while also sending things to me as a Secret Sister.. Thank You Nancze I appreciate the time, Love and effort which you used to spoil me so.. You my dear are #1 in my books..

Today DH and I worked in the yard .. We got the goldfish pond water pumped out, the pond scrubed, and fresh water put back in. DH put the roof back on the lean to off the garage... DH and I couldn't decide just how long that had been off.. :O) But it is done.. If the day comes that he reads this I hope he realizes how much I love him for doing things in his own time frame..
We also did something we were long over due doing. We went on a date.. Dinner and a movie.. I wasn't impressed with the movie but DH enjoyed it.. To top off our night we stopped at Wal-Mart super center and purchased a dozen new baby fish.. It will be so much fun watching them grow. Today was a good day I am blessed being married to my girls father...

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday March 23:
DH and I spent another great day together outside. We removed the iron railing behind the pond, cleaned and turned the soil in the flower beds, moved rocks around new flower beds, cleaned out winter leaves from around bushes and in the stream.. mowed the yard, washed 4 wheelers and introduced our new fantailed goldfish babies to their new home.. They are lost in the volume of water but they will grow in no time at all.
Tiffani and Kevin came over about 5, Thanks Kids for bringing over supper and for cooking it..we probably would have had ceral since we both are already so sore from the spring yard work.. To end our evening we played a game of hearts and the kids went home and DH and I settled into watching the 75th Ocars ..

Worse dress is just not a possible thing to happen at the Oscars but I wouldn't have chosen to wear the off the one arm style that Nicole Kidman wore.. but if I had her shape and height I guess I would. NOT... The best moment to me was when the Douglas men presented their award.. . Worse moment was when Michael Moore cruel and untimely words critizing President Bush and the U.S in the war in Iraq during his acceptance speech for Bowling for Columbine

I enjoyed visiting many classmates last night to see their baby pictures but considering I am on a dialup modem I didn't get to make 1/2 the list so tonight I hope to get to visit more.. With the war in progress I appreciate having something to occupy my mind instead of watching CNN.

A beautiful day in Oklahoma that is if you stay inside.. LOL.. If it reached 55 I will be surprised. Beleive it or not DH is off....If no jobs are called in.. My morning started with DH and I going by to pick Tiffani and Kevin up and making a trip to Home Depo..They purchased lumber to reroof the back patio then we couldn't leave Norman before I went to wal-mart but this was a fast in and out as Dh and Kevin stayed with the lumber.. Tiffani and I purchased some meats and then we went to Bob's Bar-b-que for lunch and then home. Whew I didn't dream of getting up there and back in such a short span of time.
Tracy popped in for a minute this afternoon.. She looked so tired. She had a funeral to attend this morning of a nursing friend that lost her husband that died in his sleep of a heart attack.. She hadn't seen her dad and a long time and she needed her Daddy's hug.

    Sunday March 30:
A beautiful day here today. The wind was calm and by noon you could go around outside in short sleeves. DH and I went by our local in and out deli, service station and picked up breakfast burritos for us, Tiffani and Kevin and ate them at their houes.. Then DH and Kevin spent the day stripping of the old roof and replacing 3 bad runners and reapplied new plywood .. They had hoped that this was going to be a one day project but they still have to get the tar paper put on, flashing installed and then shingles.. So we will be at again ASAP.. Sure hope that it doesn't rain before they can get it finished. While the guys were doing that Tiffani and I messed around in the yard getting her flower beds cleaned out and the soil turned.. Tracy came over for a little bit she was out riding her 4 wheeler.. She is going to help Tiffani paint the sun room as soon as it is finished.

Brandy taged me refering to her brother being deported to Kuwait. Sweetie My thoughts and prayers are with your brother and your cousin that is also serving there.. Also my prayers continue to go out to Nancze's Cliffand Tea's Brandon.. and all those serving our county and to those that have family in the service... I received spring cards from Nancze & Sindee . I guess with the weather bouncing back and forth I didn't realize Spring was here.. :O) Thank you Nancze & Sindee for sending me your beautiful cards. Happy Spring to both of you.

Here is my little spring card.. Remember I am just starting to draw some of my own things so I am not sure if they are flowers or Spring weeds.. LOL If you would like my Spring card you can pick it up in my blinkies for you page.. I haven't set a Spring page as of yet.

    Tuesday April 1:
    Happy April's fools day.
It has been a great day other than I had no internet service until about 3pm today and by then I didn't have any playing time.. So you see I couldn't post my homework assignment

It is 9pm Oklahoma time and so that means it is only 7 pm California time so Teacher please don't put me in the corner.. Any how it will be short and sweet..
About 8 years ago I had my top teeth worked on and while I was still healing from that Tracy's boyfriends Dad came by for some reason I don't even remember and we were out on the front porch talking and the humor was flying and I let out a big laugh and my particals came flying out of my mouth.. Thank goodness I caught them in my hand.. Heck I don't know who was more embarresed Me, Him or Tracy.. Well that is the worse that came to mind but believe me I hardly make it through the day without doing some silly thing... For instance did anyone watch Martha Stewart today about running lights and small appliances with potatoes?? Well I was telling Tiffani and Kevin about it and they think I have lost my ever loving mind... Was her show a April fools joke or a for real thing.. My family said I am way to blonde for me not to believe things. Well guess I better go tag the teacher and turn my homework in..

Paula My heart goes out to you and your family.. Thank you for letting me know that you have 2 cousins deployed.. I pray that God's hand will protect them as they are protecting us. God bless you all and remember to say a extra prayer for our troops.

    Wednesday April 2:
I wish the Oklahoma wind would blow.. teehee.. The weather otherwise would have been great if the wind would lay down a little.. Never satisfied I guess.
I got my hair all trimed up today a little shorter than planed but it will grown back. Of course while I was in town I had to stop by wallie express world.. Purchased two new bushes... I just know my grasshoppers will love me for them..
Gizmo is sick.. He woke Tiffani up abt one whinning and panting.. She brought him over to me to watch today and before I left for my hair appointment he was acting really different by going to the back room and getting under a desk that I have in there.. Usually he sleeps on DH side of the bed during the day. He seemed to have a low grade feaver and was beginning to scratch himself as if his skin was on fire.. So while I was in town I bought some children's benadryl which we had given him before for fever. When I got home he had scratched his arm pits raw. I called the vet and she advised giving him the benedral, and to give him a bath in lukewarm water no soap and to get him in for his spring allergy shot ASAP.. Poor baby he just looks at me with those big brown eyes like Grandma do something to make it stop.. He seemed some what better by the time Tiffani got home which she took him straight to the vet for his shot. She said is resting but still mildly scratching. I will be watching him again tomorrow to try to keep him from scratching so bad.

    Thursday April 3:
Gizmo is here today and still has a low grade fever but you can touch him now without him acting like it is hurting. He has been laying in my lap all morning but now is sleeping on DH side of the bed that is a good thing.. Tiffani said he didn't wake her up last night so I guess the shot helped some.. I am to give him more benadryl after lunch. Getting his sores healed will be the challenge.
Tracy is going to work tonight at Norman Hospital.. The little stinker is going to over do if she isn't careful.. 40+ hours at Ada hospital and she tries to work at least two shifts a month at Norman to help them out.. Norman was calling her just about every day finally she told them No more calls Monday - Wednesday because she can't but she would work on other days to keep the calls down.
Thank you Brandy for offering this adoption.. My Father in-law was a POW of WWII.. and I pray for their safe return..
The rescue of Pfc. Jessica Lynch, rescued Tuesday April 1st from an Iraqi hospital, who had been shot during a Iraqi forces ambushed the Army’s 507th Ordnance Maintenance Company was a answered prayer.

Gizmo is here again today.. Tiff said his feaver broke before bedtime and his panting has all but stopped.. Yeppee maybe I will be able to get my work done today.. I was suppose to go shopping with Norma today but that was canceled because of my work load.. The first of the month is not a good time to go running around..
    SEEKING INPUT..

My youngest daughter is getting married June 21, 2003 a guest list of about 125.
Their wedding shower is set for May 17th.. Background:
  • Two small towns which he is from one and she the other; the shower and wedding will be announced in the local newspapers. Local stores sponser this when you register.
    Question:
WHEN DO YOU THINK THE WEDDING SHOWER INVITATIONS
    NEED TO BE MAILED.

Some say a month prior to the event some say 2 weeks prior.. How much advance notice do you like to have on a event like this? My personal thoughts is 3 week-end advance notice of mailing to give the US mail a chance to get them deliver. Showers are not well attended around here anymore or not like they were when I had mine 30 years ago.. Any hoooo

I will looking forward to your input on this.

God bless you all and have a great week-end..

Thanks Penny for the calendar code..
Oh I almost forgot to mention that I finally bit the bullet and upgraded MyNest home at topcities from a free site to a paid site.. Sooner or later I will be moving everything over there.. I am so happy.. April 3 was MyNest 2nd anniversary so I guess it was about time I quit freeloading.. LOL

    Saturday April 6:
We went to Norman to purchase some guieanes and the lady right before us brought all they had.. Maybe next shipment we will get some.
Tiffani played Softball in OK city that afternoon so we went to watch her play. It was a mess.. Players leaving before the tournment was over not seeming to care if there were enough left to play the next game. Chester ended up playing in game 5 and 6.. Well he didn't finish game 6.. He pulled his knee.. Well sweetie all I can say is you knew better..
Tracy Destry and his children had their pictures taken today.. I can't wait to see them.
Kind of worried about Tea I haven't heard from her in a few days... Come out and Play Tea we miss you at the Playroom.

    Monday April 7:

  • 1. To exercise or not to exercise...that is the question. Do you exercise on a regular basis? NO If so, what is your schedule? If you don't, why not? Wow Why? I can make excuses better than I can make a cake.
In what ways do you exercise? What works best for you when it comes to loosing weight or maintaining your weight? What would work best is if I would get out of this computer chair. Do you like to exercise? NO. What excuses do you have not to exercise? It hurts my knees, back and pride.. LOL
  • 2. What kind of relationship do you have with your hair? Do you have your hair the way you want it or are you working on growing it out...or have plans to chop it all off? I just got mine cut off last week-end as to being happy with it.. I am always seeing others that I wish my hair looked like.
Do you color it, and why? Now now.. Yes I do and why? Because I feel better about myself when you can't see ALL the grey hair.
Do you spend a lot of money on your hair or do you cut and/or color it yourself? I usually have a appointment every 3 months to reshape my hair I color my hair myself and probably will continue this way until I can't do it myself anymore or they quit making the color. How important is your hair to you? VERY IMPORTANT but not to the degree that I spend a fortune on shampoos and conditioners.. but that is because I try not to abuse my hair with chemicals so it is still healthy at this time.
  • 3. Do you dress your face up with makeup? What kinds? Mary Kaye base and other is trial and error things from Wal-mart Do you wear makeup everyday or just on special occasions? I usually only wear makeup on special outings.. and Sundays.. Do you spend a lot of money on your makeup...or just buy the cheaper brands? Mary Kaye isn't to expensive I guess and I don't use enough for it to be a great expense. Most expense is the skin conditioners, cleaners and sunblocks that I do use.
Carol came over Sunday.. We had a great visit then we took our SS# over to Dad.. He wasn't home some I went in and laid them on their kitchen table, then Carol and I went to Judy's.. We had a great visit with eachother.. We really do need to reconnect with one another.

    Tuesday April 8:
Doctor appointments this morning. DH blood pressure is way to high so they changed his medication again. They took chest xrays and blood and then he is to go the April 22 for a stress test and then back to the doctor May 8 for another appointment. I checked out OK other than a spot on my nose where my glasses nose piece rest. I have appointment Friday to have it frozen off.. OUCH.. I don't handle pain well so I dread it.
DH and I had a meeting with a finicial advisor about the little money that we have set back for rainie days. We couldn't make a decision in her office on what to do so we brought the paperwork home to go over.. We talked to Tiffani and that helped.. She deals with some of the options at her work. So tomorrow it is in for another appointment.
I found out yesterday that my friend Tea was in a car accident but should be home now.. She is OK but we are luckly to still have her with us.. Thank to the loving arms of God. Hugs and Prayers for you Tea.

    Wednesday What if's
  • What are your most compulsive habits?Smoking

Do you regularly struggle to break these habits?Yep constantly.. From leaving them outside to chewing gum

  • Are there people you envy enough that you would want to trade lives with them?No.. I am happy with my life.. Those that sometimes seem to have something that my life lacks usually also have things in their lives that I don't want.

  • Would you enjoy spending a month of solitude in a beautiful natural setting? Food and shelter would be provided but you would not see another person for that month.No.. I like quite days but I also like being able to be around people if I choose to.

  • If you could have free, unlimited service for five years from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, housekeeper, masseuse, or personal secretary, which would you choose and why? HOUSEKEEPER, because that would clear my schedule of atleast 4 hours per day.

Another busy day at work. Nothing great going on other than the baby asprin that the Dr requested DH to take is making him sick.. Poor guy can't take asprin but we thought he might be able to handle the baby asprin.. He isn't throwing it up but it makes his stomach flip flop..

This morning I had 5 spots frozen off my face and one on my upper right leg. The one that was most uncomfortable was the one where my eye glasses set on my nose.. Oh well it is over and no more tanning beds for me.. My skin is showing all the abuse I gave it doing my younger years. DH blood pressure was some better but still not good.
Tracy meet with a morgage person on some land.. Sure hope that she Destry and aren't biting off more than they can choose but it is their life and their choice and I hope she doesn't have to play second fiddle to a farm and if she does I hope she can handel it.
Tiffani and Kevin came over tonight. Tiffani brought home Jo's pizza... Thanks kido I really wasn't in the mood to cook... Oh and we played one game of hearts and I LOST.. but it was fun having them over for the evening.
Yeppee the week-end is here and the sun is going to be shining. I hope to get the flower beds planted.. HOPE..

    Saturday April 12:
DH had to work for a little while this morning but before noon he came home and we went back to town where he purchased the material for the addition to our deck.. 12 X 20. While he was doing that I went to Wal-Mart and purchased more flowers for beds and a new vacuum.. When we got home DH finished mowing and weedeating the yard and I started on the flower beds but the sun was way to hot for me.. The places on my face didn't like it so I gave in and went in te house to piddle around. Around 5:30 we meet Tiff, Kevin and Tracy at town for Mexican food. Kevin has been using the backhoe all day cleaning out the creek behind their house so he was really tired and ready to go home.
DH, Tracy and I went by the place she and Destry are trying to purchase.. If they get it I will tell all about it.. I am really proud they are trying to get this one.. It isn't just land it has a house even.. LOL
When we got home and settled in David came by for a short visit. Robin was still shopping with her family.

    Sunday April 13:
This morning DH, myself, Tracy and Destry went to the Dog trade market.. Haahee really it is a flea market but there are so many dogs there being sold and traded they call it the Dog trade market.. Oh well we purchased 6 adult guineas and I bought Tracy and Destry two cabinets.. One for the kitchen to store potatoes and such decorated in with Apples and one for the den that is make to store DVD's decorated in birdhouses. She loves country theme things which most of her house is. Before we went home we stopped at Denny's for breakfast making it home about noon.
DH put the guineas in the pen with the one that we had left from last year having a fit until we let it in with them... Then the fight was on to see who will rule the roost... So far so good for my grey bird.. He made them realize he was king of this acre.
The kids came over for supper seems like we always eat in shifts. Tiff and Kevin were here when supper was ready but Tracy and Destry didn't get here until we were finished. They had went to Dibble to purchase us 5 more guineas.. Now we have a dozen.. If we can just keep them healthy and at home they should assist us in battleing the grasshoppers that will be here within the next few weeks.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday April 14:
The guineas are making all kinds of noise this morning.. They aren't happy about not being let out of the pen but for a couple of weeks they have to stay pened so they might realize where home is. I am just glad that we don't have any real close neighbors for them to disturb.
I look like I have been in a battle the spots I had frozen off Friday are now large crustie brown sores.. Sure wouldn't want to go in front of a camera right now.. :O)
Well todays schedule is work work work.. I hope to get a step ahead because Tiffani gets off early tomorrow and I want to help her paint her sunroom. But I will have to get my work done first.
    Have a great Monday everyone..

  • 1. How often do you "take a bath"? I am a shower person. Maybe 1 time a year, tops, I would actually take a bath. I don't stay still very well and staying in a tub of water isn't relaxful to me.. Let me sit on the deck with a glass of tea instead.
What types of things does your bath include? Music, reading, meditation, salts, bubbles..etc??Reading If time allows, which do you prefer, the shower, bathing, or taking a bath?Shower
  • 2. Do you use any form of aromatherapy in your home or office? No Do any scents help you with relaxing, to rid of a headache, activate memory, stimulate your brain and so on? No What scents do you like to use in your home? Do you use special scents for special occasions? None other than plug in's.
  • 3. Name the senses (smell, taste, hear, touch, and sight) in order from most important to least important and why. Hard isn't it? Most important to me I think would be sight. I realize that life doesn't stop without site but I love looking and so much of my life is centered around me being able to see but I would adjust if I couldn't. 2nd important would be sound, I would miss hearing the sound of my family laughs but again adjustments could be made if I couldn't hear and had the other senses. Third would be touch I guess the thought of the lack of touch would be hard, something that I don't know what the adjustments would be, but again having the other senses it would be bearable.
Smell and taste I would hate to loose them but at my age I am not sure that those senses are as sharp as they were at one time anyway so they would be listed as the least important..

Homework: What led you to be a web mistress?

My first adventure on the WWW was doing family history research. Encouraged by Norma..
Over the years I had collected alot of family information and needed a place other than on my personal pc to store the information and I wanted a place on line that it could be shared with other family members.
After searching around I located a free site that was usernamer password protected, thanks to DH down the tree cousing Terri. I opened "The Wateringhole" November 29, 1999 for my immediate family at http://www.myfamily.com . This site is still open but it is no longer free. The price is well worth it since many of my family is scattered across the USA. It has been a great benfit in keeping the family members of 40 + connected. I dearly love "The WateringHole".
Back to What led me to be a web mistress

In January 2001 I was invited to join other administrators that had family sites at myfamily.com to share interesting things that could be done at our personal myfamily.com family sites to encourage family posting. Wow I was learning.. HTML .. Now the family knew I was a nerd.
Around the last of March first part of April 2001, at the administrators site, members were discussing if anyone was wanting to start their own personal web home other than what they had at myfamily.com. Assistance from some was offered to get anyone started. Silly me posted out of polietness that I would but that I had no idea what I would do with one. With little encouragement from Tea and Penny the adventure began. Tea and Penny took me by the hand and Apr 3, 2001 before I knew it My Nest was open... I still don't know what I am doing with it but I love it... To remember those days still brings a smile to my face.

TAX DAY... I am so glad we have ours finished..

    this-or- that Tuesday
  • 1. File taxes as early as possible, or wait until the last possible minute? Depends on if we are getting a refund or if we are paying.
  • 2. File electronically, or mail paper forms? Ours is kind of complicated so we still mail paper forms.
  • 3. Prepare your own taxes, or have someone do it for you? We have always had someone else do ours, gathering the information is bad enough.
  • 4. Are you a saver or a spender? Depends.. Spender I guess we don't have much of a nest egg anymore.
  • 5. Do you prefer to carry cash, or pay with plastic (credit/debit cards), or by check? All three. but I do usually carry cash for small purchases.
  • 6. You're broke and desperately need a job, but the only places that are hiring are retail or fast food places. Which would you pick? Either would be fine.. I love working in the public.
  • 7. Keeping track of your money: are you more meticulous or careless about it? Careless
  • 8. What do you do if you find yourself with a lot of change weighing down your purse/pocket/wallet? Do you try to spend it to *get rid of it*, or do you put it in a jar or a piggy bank? We have a jar and we add it to it.. That is our Shrevport money.
  • 9. Which form of fake money do you like better...Monopoly money or those chocolate coins covered with gold foil? Would rather have real money.. If I am playing Monopoly I want Monopoly money guess if I am hungry I would go for the foli covered chocolate.
  • 10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You find a wallet containing $5,000 in cash, as well as several credit cards and the owner's drivers' license. Your rent is due tomorrow and you're short $200. Do you take the money (some or all of it) and mail back the wallet anonymously...or do you return the wallet with all contents intact? Send it all back intact.. Which I have done to a wallet with money in it.. And they said thanks and didn't offer to even reinbused me for the shipping. That I would have at least done if someone would have sent mine to me.

    Monday April 21:
    A beautiful week-end.
Saturday DH, Tiff and Tracy played softball in a benefit march of dimes tourn. at Duncan. Their team came in second.. It was great seeing DH out their pitching.. He loves the game so much and playing with his girls just tops it off.
Sunday we attended services with Tiffani and Kevin at the Missionery Baptist Church. After services we picked up Grandpa Dean and went to KF Chicken for lunch then home. No eggs dyed no egg hunts just a relaxful afternoon and evening. Tracy spent the day with Destry and his children at his parents. She had to be at work at 7pm.

I cleared my Weight journal history.. I weighed in 3 months ago and the most I have lost is 4 pounds.. I weighed in this moring and I am back to beginning weight.. Poop.. Now to get serious.. there is less than 60 days until Tracy's and Destry's wedding.

If you would please sign my new Guestmap before you leave... Thanks to those that have signed it. I love knowing which state you live in ..

The guineas are making all kinds of noise this morning.. We are thinking if we are around home this week-end that we will be testing letting them out.. I have a feeling they are going to run away since they were adults when we got them.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday April 22:
DH had a stress test appointment at Purcell at 10:30.. We have noticed for the past few years that he has been having trouble getting his wind as he calls it. He never has been one to exercise on purpose and he doesn't get that much exercise anymore due to the type of job he does and his bad knees.. So we blamed it on that and his being a smoker. He didn't make it past the first 3 minutes on the threadmill. I felt so sorry for him. So we have more extesive test this coming Tuesday at 1pm..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday April 23:
DH strated out his morning wearing a patch in hopes that he would find the craving easier.. He said did good until after lunch when his arm was hurting so he took it off.. Of course he said that lead to bumming a cig.. then another.. Well 6 is better than 2 packs. Now on my habit I didn't do as good as he did.. I didn't wear a patch so I smoked.. I have almost smoked a pack and the nights not over. Oh I am known to smoke like a freight train.. Over 2 packs a day.. I know the non-smokers that will read these entries will not understand the power these stinking things have over us smokers but it is a nightmare just typing in that I am going to quit this habit and soon..

On a lighter note Tiffani, Tracy and I went to town and got Tracy registered for her shower.. Whew.. Tracy had NO sleep so I am sure she was glad that this event is over.. :O)
Today in my email I received these cuties from Deborah.. Aren't they just so sweet.

04-2003~ Thanks Deborah we are cute Chicks.

    Tuesday April 29:
DH had his doctor appointment today at 1pm.. They got the pictures of his heart done but then they said come back tomorrow at 8am.. We had no idea that he couldn't drink Sanka this morning.. They said no caffenine but Hello he drank it at 5am this morning but no matter it is back tomorrow with no caffine after midnight.. Hello 8 hours is 8 hours.
While we were in Norman we went by Sears and picked up Tracy's pictures.
Waaahooo! ! Invitations to Tracy's wedding shower have been mailed..
OK I haven't quit smoking.. but still working on it.. I am down from 2+ packs to one.. DH is down to about 6 a day.. I smoked when I was playing on the PC so that is one reason I am limiting my playing time.. Gee whiz this is not easy but I am going to do it.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday April 30:
Back to the doctor..... Now to wait on the results
When we got home Gizmo didn't act like he felt good so we called the vet.. He has so much trouble with his glands. While the Vet was checking him the gland ruptured a pencil size hole on his right side cheek, which of course cause alot of pain so the sedated him. When Tiffani got off of work we decided to keep from moving him around he would stay the night with us.

    X---XX---X---XX---X
    Thursday April 30:
Gizmo isn't feeling to well as of right now but he is moving around some.
Tracy has a meeting with the real estate ~ Tim Gamble ~ he is giving her the big run around.

    June

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday June 1:
We (Dh, Tiffani, Kevin, FIL and myself) went to the Antioch cemetary dinner. When we got back home David and Robin was at the house picking up the limbs that we had cut down to carry off over to Todd's and Pam's. They brought home the cainsaw. Tiffani and Kevin took their pinic table home. When everyone was gone DH finished the weedeating and I picked up the yard.. We had a few showers of rain but really just enough to make it humid. With the yard work done we both relaxed the rest of the day.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday June 2:
First of the month account payable, and this payweek so busy busy at work.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday June 9:
Tracy's wedding is approaching and I am still excited for her. She is a bubbling bride. It seems like everything is going as planned so we are getting to relax some.. SOME..
Their house is still up in the air. Having to split it into two sections is taking longer than buying normally. When it is a done deal they will forget all the problems they have had getting it. :O)
Tiffani and Kevin had supper with us last night. Bless Kevins heart he always has to cook when they come over.
Wanda called to see if there was anything she could do to help with the wedding. She is going to take care of the Kitchen during the reception and also help us tear down when the Bride and groom has left. She doesn't realize how much this is going to help US. but it will.
Norma called about the Brides table.. everythiing is going to be fine. I still don't know if Betty or Norma is furnishing the cloths for the tables.. Oh well I am going to let them figure it out.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday June 10:
Tiffani and Kevin had supper with us tonight. I fixed Chicken on the indoor grill with mushrooms, onion, pineapple and bacon for the meat dish.. They seemed to enjoy it. When supper was finished and the kitchen cleaned we had a great visit on the back deck. They are hoping to have news for us tomorrow on a event that will effect the rest of their lives.
After they had gone home DH and I was just kicking back to relax when David and Robin came by.. They rode the rain storm out with us leaving about 11pm. David is going to Red River Thursday and he wasnted to see if DH had changed his mind about going. With the wedding NEXT week-end he has decided he might should wait.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday June 11:
Note to myself: 4 weeks and 6days
DH forgot to bring in the paperwork last night so I am catching on many of the small things that I have put off with the companies paperwork.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday June 171:
While I am gobbling down my lunch I thought I would put some of the things out that I had adopted for Tracy for her wedding.. The day count down is here.. And I am like that cat on a tin roof.. All will go well I am sure.. Just the last minute things to confirm.. The hair appointments, final dress try ons, rehersal and then the wedding. They will be married no matter what the weather tempture is or the attendance or the tears that fall down my cheeks.. I am fighting them now just putting this page together. I am not unhappy for her but it is just a momma thing.
My mind is flowing with so many memories of Tracy from the day I found out that I was expecting her to this morning when she called me on her way home.
    I love you Half Pint..
I AM LISTENING TO OUR SONGS
    An't no mountain high enough
    An't no valley low enough
    An't no River wide enough
to keep me from getting to you..
    Just give mom a call
    You are Rosemary's Grand daughter
I will always be your biggest fan.
    As we go on
    We remember
all the times we've had together
as our lives change from what ever
we will still be friends forever.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday June 171:
Today was my first day to keep Brooklyn. I got up early and did the business's work so that I would be able to devote me first time with her and not be on the PC the whole time. Destry is really having a hard time with her mom.. I pray that they will keep Brooklyn in mind while tring to come to so sort of agreement and also that Brooklyn will be allowed to be at/in the wedding. She is the flower girl but seems Mom might have changed her mind on her even attending. Brookly and I had a good time she played at the rock gardern and assisted me in mowing the lawn.
Later we went to our Wedding hair dressing party at Sharon's Beauty shop.. We had a great time even though Diane that did the nails was real late which cause the last of us to not be finished until after 11pm.. I went straight to bed when I got home and about 1:30 awoke with a awful pain in my lower right back muscel.. I didn't know what was causing it but it wouldn't stop. DH got up and got me loaded and off to the hospital we go.. Well when we reached Maysville the pain had eased so I asked or should I say begged him to stop.. He couldn't believe I wanted to go back home.. My fear was getting there and them wanting to keep me over somehing that had eased. Finally getting back home at 2:45 DH rubbed me down with bengay and I popped some pain relief pills, kicked on the heating pad and didn't wake until morning.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday June 19:
Tiffani and Kevin came by to check on me this moring. I feel fine, sore but not hurting.
Tonight is the final dress try ons before the wedding. I may skip it and let the girls go alone.
Tomorrow night is researsal ~ Which we found out at 10 last night the minister isn't going to get to come due to a funeral that he is doing for one of his chuch family. Oh well this 6 pm wedding will be exciting that I know.. :O)
Tiff had her first consultation this morning with the doctor but what ya know she doesn't see the doctor.. Things have really changed in my day you atleast got to see the doctor..:O) She had more blood work and another test but she won't get final results until tomorrow or it may even be Monday before she knows anything. We love you sweetie and our prayers are with you.
Kevin went to a 2 hour session hypmonist (SP?)and came home a non smoker.. He has a 1 1/2hr session again tomorrow. If this works for him DH and I will be making our appointments

Thursday EVENING: After laying on the heating pad on and off all day I joined the girls in the trip to Chickasha.. Tracys dress fit fine, Erins had to be let out in the top and Tiffs was 5" to big around the waist.. And the top about 2" to big.. So Tiffani will try hers on again tomorrow night before rehersal. Carol meet us there and then we went to the park to walk through some steps hoping rehersal will go smoother tomorrow night then we went to braums for a quick bite then back home. On the way home we were going over the list we realized we had never asked anyone to make the punch.. CAROL.. Thank You Thank You... I don't know how I will ever be able to repay you and Norma for being there for us.
Wanda called and she is going to bring Grandpa Dean to the wedding for us..
UPDATE: Wanda didn't get to make it to the wedding Jimmie Lee brought Grandpa for us.. Thanks Jimmie.

    Friday June 20:
Kassi came out and straighted the house while I piddled around gathering last minute things for the rehersal. Tiffani and Kevin rode over to Chickasha with DH and I..
Rehersal went fine and the dinner afterwards was nice but confusing as to Peggy and Doyle didn't do the parent of the groom thing but oh well it is a done deal now and will be somthing that we will NEVER encounter again. For both our girls we hope that we have made them proud to have us as their parents because we are VERY proud that they are our daughters.

    Saturday June 21:
    Tracys and Destry's wedding Day

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday June 22:
Kevin and Tiffani brought us a sonic burger for Lunch so that we didn't have to go in to eat or cook here. Our day consisted of us unpacking the vehicles, sorting through the things left over from the wedding and kicking back most of the afternoon. About 6pm DH and I went to PV to Denny for a breakfast supper... Then back home to make a trail through the livingroom where everything is awaiting Tracy's return. LOL
I will be making a page for Tracy and Destry later when their pictures are received until then I will say She was a beautiful bride and he was a very handsome groom.. And Mom and Dad are tickled that they are united as one.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday June 23:
After work Tiffani and I went to PV to watch Katie play fast pitch softball. I got the time of game wrong so we ate at Tios before the game.. DH and Kevin fended for theirselves. Tracy and Destry called they had rented a boat for 200.00 for 8 hours. They were having a blast and sounded so happy.. She found her diamond ear ring.. How it fell into Destry's bag leaving the back on is beyond me.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday June 24:
Workers Comp insurance audit today.. It took the lady 3 hours to get finished and I have to send some things to her to verfy that it wasn't labor.. by the time she left I had a spliting headache so I laid down until Tiffani got here and we worked on getting ready for the libality insurance audit. Thank goodness DH brought us home supper.
Ronney and Betty Ann broght a gift over for Tracy and Destry.. Wow seeing them again brings back so many lake memories.. And they are all great one.
Tracy called they went stripper fishing this morning.. Wow that is a new activity for Tracy.. She loves to fish but was her first time to get to stripper fish.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday June 25:
Libality insurance audit didn't take but 1 1/2 hours.. Wow and I don't have to send them anything.DH is going to think I am never going to cook again. Oh well I am glad he likes Sonic burgers .. LOL

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday June 26:
Major cool front came through today. I actually put on jeans and a long sleeve blouse to go to town.
I went to town and picked up Tracy's pictures that were taken with the throw away cameras that we had out at the reception.. Oh well they aren't that good. Many were used by the little guest but that is OK... Someday I will get the better ones loaded into mynest to share.
While in town DH, Tracy, Destry and I ate at the mexican cafe at Lindsay around 4pm.. LOL I got out of cooking again tonight.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday June 27:
I had lunch with Wanda, GP Dean, and Tracy at the cafe at Maysville. Today was Wanda's birthday
Then I went to Lindsay and purchased tags for the company. While in town I stopped in at Wal-mart and looked at baby blankets that are stamped to be stitched.. I thought would purchase one to do while on vacation but I wasn't please with the choices so I didn't.
When I got home Kraig came by and picked up DH 4-wheeler for them to use on thier vacation next week.
Tracy and Brooklyn came by around 4:30. Brooklyn's face and shoulders were sunburnt real bad. I gave Tracy some cream to put on her back but advised her to try it in one small place before she put it all over her just in case she is alergic to it..
DH is at a golfing tournment at OK City so guess What? Yep no cooking again tonight..
Tracy and Destry went ahead and paid to have the flood survey done on the land and house that they are still trying to buy. I sure hope and pray that it isn't in the flood zone because in Garvin county unless you live in the city limits you can NOT purchase flood insurance.. It will so sad if they don't get this place just because of this.. and it would have been nice if the bank would have told them before they had dumped so much money into it which they will not get much of it back.

    JULY

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday July 1:
Appointment on DH blood pressure which was great.. He doesn't have to go back for 6 months. and then off to our first appointments on stopping smoking. I am not so sure this works.. I cried like a baby wanting a cigarette.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday July 2:
Back for session 2 of our appointment for stopping smoking. DH seems to be doing good with it but I am having a hard time finding my peaceful place to escape to.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday July 3:
Today was the beginning of our 2003 summer vacation. DH work the morning and then we picked Tiffani up and took her to her doctor appointment. I`m so sorry to hear that Tiffani was going to have to terminated the pregnancy due to there being no fluid in the the sack. I can't imagine how she and Kevin feel about this when they were looking forward to something so wonderful too.
When we stopped at Gainesville TX I bought $20.00 worth of scratch off cards and a pack of cigarettes, DH and I had a smoke.. I was a looser both ways, Poop I am such a weakling on not smoking to console myself.
We got at Shreveport LA about 10pm checked into our motel then we went over to the Isle of capri for a couple of hours to play a little one arm bandits.. Well need I say our luck was no better at them than it was at the scratch off cards.
We had rode our motels shuttle over so we took it back to our room around 1:30 but we had only had a bake potato for supper on the way down so we were hungry so we walked over to a waffle house that is right next door to the motel for a quick bite then we finally turned in around 2:30am

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday July 4
We began our morning by eating our continental breakfast at the motel. We checked out and went to back to try a little one arm bandits. We had fun but again Lady luck was not on our side be we didn't actually loose we call it holding our own ..:O)
Around noon we left for Jackson Mississippi. We had reservations at another best western but this one wasn't as nice as most that we have stayed in. The first room was next to the indoor pool and it smelled just like the pool.. so we requested another room. Well the next one was OK but the AC didn't work real well but we survived since the rain moved in around 7pm and cooled things down outside. The only fireworks that we saw we on a skittles candy commercial on t.v. We had hope to visit Jackson's fireworks but when the rain moved in we decided we would just stay in and relax in our room.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday July 5
We set the alarms for 4:30 because Tiffani has her D&C today.. We called them about 5am to get them up but Grandpa Dean had called them before then. There was no way we could have rolled back over and went back to sleep knowing what Tiffani morning was going to be so we dressed and headed for Atlanta.
Tracy called us about 10:30 and Tiffani made it through the procedure OK and they are on their way home. Even knowing that this was a simple procedure doesn't make it any easier to be out of town when your baby is put under antesia.
We stopped at small cafe and ate a baked potato for lunch to tied us over until the game tonight.

We got into Atlanta about 3:30pm but we drove around for a hour at least trying to find out motel.. Once checked in we set out to enjoy the sites of Atlanta. We rode the MARTA (Which was the first time DH or I had ever rode a underground subway) to underground Atlanta (Which is as it is called underground which is filled with shops of all types) and then we took a shuttle to Turner field to watch the Atlanta braves play Montreal. The game went into a hour rain delay at the top of the fourth with Montreal ahead by one run but that gave us time to walk the stadium and to buy some shirts for the girls. When they started playing again it was a fine mist but the Braves pulled it out 3 to 2
Dh is a big Chipper Jones fan so he truely enjoyed going to the game.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday July 6
We stayed in Atlanta today seeing some of the local sites. We went to the Westin Peachtree Plaza... 72 stories. We got stuck on the elevator for about 5 minutes. The doors wouldn't open.. When we finally got out we headed straight for the Sun Dial Bar and had a couple of Bud's (Cost $10.59 for two).. So this little adventure turned out to be a real adventure.

That evening we went to Stone Mountain which was really beautiful. The rain really cooled the day off and make everything even more grand. Riding the sky lift up the mountain during the rain was great. Seeing the rain come down the side was beautiful.

The mountain is 825 feet high. The carving is of Confederate history President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and Lt. General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson.
After dark about 9:30 there is a free breathtaking Lasershow done on the side of the mountain at the carving.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday July 7
We pulled out of Atlanta around 10am heading for Abbeville South Carolina. When we arrived we pulled into the local libary where I stayed while DH went looking for a golf course. Well no such luck for him but I found where there was a living descendant of Matilda Norris had added family history into Abbevilles local history book.
The town of Abbeville is known as “the birthplace and deathbed of the Confederacy.” Abbeville is one of the oldest Counties in the state, one of five carved out of the old Ninety Six District in 1785

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday July 8
The Pendleton District is one of the largest national historic districts in America. Pendleton District and Pickens County the Dean family were located here in the middle and late 1800's.

    Wednesday July 9
Checked into the Ameristar Casino Hotel at Vicksburg Mississippi the cost for two nights= $170.50

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday July 10

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday July 11
We stayed the night at Best Western Airline Motor inn at Bossier City, LA.. (Cost 107.35)
We spent our time at the boats.. Yep one arm bandits.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday July 12
On the way home we toped our eating out at Saltgrass Steakhouse at Lewisville Texas. You can't beat their steaks. I can't tell when you are in Lewisville and when you are in Dallas but they say it is at Lewisville.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday July 13
It is great to be home and wake up and be able to step out onto the back deck in my nightgown and have my morning coffee. Today we unpacked to suburban and did a couple loads of laundry but mostly we rested/

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday July 14
The weather is not only warm it is HOT.. DH took a jug of water with him today to keep from getting dehydrated.
Back to the ax and grind.. We had a great vacation but it is always hard to get back in the swing of things.
Well I had hoped to be able to say I am not smoking but that isn't the case.. I am such a weakling.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday July 15
Another HOT day.. 103 around here was the high.
I let the baby Guineans out of their pen this morning. Now to see if any of the 5 make it back home tonight. As of this morning we have the 5 babies and 4 adults.
Work is the main thing today.. Seems like I will never get caught up but I know I will.
Last night I played around on a family Civil war pages.. It will always be a work in progress but I had found some new information on William Walker while on vacation and wanted to make a page for it..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday July 16
Another hot day.. Work and staying cool is the jest of it today.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday July 17
Another dry hot day. The wind wasn't really blowing here today which seemed to make it hotter. Tonight Dh burnt some more of the brush that we had stacked from the wind damage.. Another couple of burnings should get it.. Tracy and Destry left tonight on a long week-end trip to Missouri I believe to float some river with Rick and Tammy Henry about a hour from Springfield Missouri. They borrowed our suburban so they would have plenty of room for all to ride comfortably. Tracy had borrowed a tent from David but it was a won marlboro tent and I didn't figure it had any ventilation so I sprang for a cheap 6 man tent which is really a 3 person tent in my opinion.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday July 18
DH took me back for another appointment at OKC to see if I could beat the smoking? I could tell when I walked out that it was no different.
To see not only that money wasted but the cost of continuing to smoke makes me sick but I guess not sick enough to quit.
After lunch in Norman he brought me home and went back to work.
This evening DH, Tiffani, Kevin and myself went to Norman to see Bad Boys II. Getting there just on time didn't give us much options on where to set. WAY TO CLOSE for a action pack film, but we still enjoyed the film and being with the Tiffani and Kevin.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday July 19
DH and I started on our yard work around 7:30 this morning getting the majors done around 10am. Majors are mowed and weed eating. I did rake the high spots but that is all the raking that was done.
We had planned on going to town during the heat of the day but chose to take a nap instead. Or I did. Tiffani came over and did the filing for the company so DH only got a short nap. When I got up she was just finishing up so we visited for awhile even hit a couple of golf balls out into the pasture.. LOL She and I had never done that. She left around 5 and we cleaned up and went to Kentucky fried at PV for supper then on to wal-mart where we bought us 3 new umbrellas and also one for Tiffani and Kevin for their anniversary that was in May. They had wanted a frame for their rope swing but I never could find one so that is why we are just now getting them a gift. Then we went on to Save-a-lot to pick up some of their sales and homeland to get some meats for next week. Ooops now DH will think I am suppose to start cooking again.
When we got home we messed with the umbrellas and wouldn't you know one of them was broken so back to wal-mart again tomorrow to exchange it.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday July 20
Up and at it early again this morning setting up the umbrellas and new stands. Around 11 we went to Dennys for breakfast with Tiffani and Kevin joining us. Then to Wal-mart to exchange the umbrella. While we was there we went ahead and bought them a stand for theirs so they would be able to move it around their deck easier instead of using the one that presently have. Well that was still under $100.00 ~ 49.99 for the umbrella and 24.99 for the stand.
The temps are still holding in the low 100's... Around 103 here. You can almost hear the ground choking from lack of water.
Once we got back home we stayed in for the rest of the afternoon.. It is to blame hot and DH has to work out in it during the week so he has no desire to go out unless he has to .
Supper.. Yea he wants SONIC burgers.. LOL
Tracy and Destry came by on their way home to set up the tent so it could dry out. They had a great time even though they did turn the canoe over one time and forgetting to zip the bottom of the tent door which allowed the rain to come in the tent which caused most of their things to get soaking wet. They said the weather was perfect and the water was cool.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday July 21
Work was the main focus today with finishing our evening up at Tiffani's for spaghetti and a evening swim. I love their pool and we should be kicked for not using it more. They ask us all the time but we just don't make the time to join them.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday July 22
The morning was so pleasant outside that I decided that I would go ahead and clean the tent interior.. Before I was finished I wished I would have waited on Tracy. I swept it then vacuumed then on my hands and knees I sponged washed the floor. I have to get us a mop. LOL
With that done I spent the rest of the day on the PC working. This was Tiffani's short day at work so she came by to do the company's taxes and then this evening we went to OKC Brick town to watch the Red Hawks play. The stadium is really nice. We left during the 7-th inning with the Red Hawks behind 4 to 0.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday July 23
Work today is top on the list. Aunt Clara is at Aunt Peggy's and I plan along with Carol and Judy to go see her this week-end so I have to get my work undercontrol.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday July 24
Payroll finished today and journal entries made on the new place the company purchased last month with Kristi's help. I could have never gotten it entered without her help.
Tracy came out and helped me get her wedding gifts moved to the back room. She will be so glad when she gets a bigger place so she can have her pretties.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday July 25
Today consist of housework and laundry. Kassi came out about 10:30 this morning and helped. She hurt her knee last week so she is having to wear a knee brace. She goes to the doctor sometime next week to find out if she is going to have surgery.
I left home around 3pm to pick Carol up at her work then she and I went to Mobeetie Texas to spend the week-end at Decelia. We got there about 9:00 went first to Aunt Peggy's to she her and Clara but we spent the nights at Decelia and Randys. They had set up their fifth wheel camper for us so it was like being at a motel in their back yard.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday July 26
Enjoyed a great day at Decelias. We attended the Mobeetie music festival with Clara, Nacole, Peggy, Randi Lynn, Houston, Randy and Decelia/

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday July 27
Clara, Nacole and Peggy borrowed Decelias pick-up and followed Carol and I home. They will be staying with me until Wednesday.
After we got home Bill, Judy Ann and Carol came over to visit with Clara and Peggy.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday July 28
After breakfast my Dad and Jonnie Ann stopped by to visit awhile with Clara and Peggy. After they left the four of us played a game of Wahoo while waiting on Terminix to come and perform our monthly spraying service. When that was done we went road tripping around the local area. Clara and Peggy pin pointed where the Cox family lived when they were in the Rush Creek area. It would be 3 miles South on the Wallville Road about 1 miles East on the South side of the road. For those that are familiar with the Elthrope homestead it would down the hill West of the Elthrope home on the South side of the road. We drove over by where Brownie and Ada Lee lived and then into Maysville where I showed them where Herb (Which Sherri, Laura and Lindsey were home painting so they did get to visit with them but not Herb) then on bye Mr Deans, David and Tories. Then we went to eat a burger at Papa's with Tracy and Chester joining us. David stopped in when he saw the surban there but didn't join us for a hamburger. After we ate Clara, Nacole, Peggy and I went over to Tiffanis so Nacole could swim then we came back to my house and DH took Nacole on a ride to the intersection a few times on the 4-wheeler.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday July 29
McCaleb gathering hosted at the home of Tiffani and Kevin Nunn of Lindsay. Those attending were Donnie, Kim and Trevor McCaleb of Marlow; David and Robin McCaleb of Maysville; Kim, James, Katilynn, and Kaycee Kraft of Pauls Valley; Torie, Rodney, Caleb and Jamie Rose Townley of Maysville; Judy Holden of Lindsay, Michael, Sheila, Tucker and Gentry Holden of Lindsay, Carol Burch of Chickasha, Kristi, Kraig and Zackary Edleman of Purcell, Chester and Gayla Dean of Lindsay, Tiffani and Kevin Nunn of Lindsay, Tracy and Destry Nunley of Maysville and Dalton Nunley of Calvin Oklahoma and Chester Dean of Maysville Out of State family attending were Clara Mae Farni and grand daughter Nacole Farni of Beaumont California, Peggy Frazier, Brian Cox, Decelia, Randi Lynn and Houston Barr all of Mobettie Texas.
We left Tiffani's about 10 pm there was some lightening but mostly in the west so we figure we wouldn't get any rain so Randi Lynn decided to sleep in the tent by herself.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday July 30
In the middle of the night the wind hit. The West side of the tent blew up on Randi Lynn sending her to the house. (We hadn't staked it down except on the four corners to clean it from the trip Tracy and Destry had taken earlier) Decelia and Randi Lynn told me this morning that about the time Randy Lynn got to the house Tent and contents went flying across the front yard. They worked hard against the wind to get their things and our cots out of it putting the tent on the front porch. I can't believe that none of the rest of us knew anything about it until this morning. The good thing about this is no one was hurt and it wasn't raining while they were trying to do this. The straignt line wind last night did tear up the tent I believe beyond repair and two of the three new umbrellas, broke one of Tracy's bird bath in half at the base that was used at her wedding.. Some limb damage but not as much as last time...
It did rain this morning which was a blessing to the ground but the children had planned on going to the water slide at Altus so they were some what let down.. But we are glad to have the rain.
Company follow me to the Lindsay cemetary to view Mom'a final resting place they pulled out for Mobeetie around 2pm this afternoon.
I had 5 Chicken breast marinating so I cooked them on the grill called Tiffani and she came by for 3 of them. If she wouldn't have we would have been eating Chicken for awhile. Kevin was not going to be home until late so it worked out good for her also. Tracy called and it seems they are wanting to trade in her or Desrty's Grand Am. I don't blame her but I hope they don't get upside down on their payments.
Late this evening I set the brush on fire since there wasn't any wind. Yard looks better waiting for the next wind storm. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday July 31:
I can't believe it is the last day of July where does the time go?
Today I have to get invoices done and PAYROLL.. Busy computer day.
Lyn Bement called today letting me know that the Gagnebin reunion is set for Auguest 24 beginning at 12:30 pm at the Abbeyville Community Center at Abbeyville Kansas. Lyn isn't going to get to come in from Virginia but wanted to let as many as possible know that the date had been set. I don't know yet if I will try to attend or not. Here you will find some of Lyn's information on the Gagnebin lineage.
The fire rekindled and got out into the paster behind the house.. The last time I had checked it was around noon and it didn't have any smoke at all coming from it. I laid down around 2:30 for a nap around 3:30 Robert Whitworth called and said his brother told him there was a fire reported 1 mile south on the Wallville road was it near our house.. I be dang I looked out the kitchen window and there was a fire truck in the paster behind us and Todd Hatfield was using our wating hole in our yard. Guess if Robert woun't have called I would have slept right through it all.

    Friday August 1:
Work ~ Work.. First of the month again.
This evening we went to Maysville to eat at the New "Lumber Yard Cafe" well it was packed to the gills with no empty seats and it was to hot in there to wait for a available seating so we went to Purcell with Tiffani and Kevin to eat Mexican food. Afterwards we went to look at a couple of cars that Tiffani had been checking on. Then home retiring early.

    Thursday August 7:
I kept my nose in the work today. Carol begins her vacation tonight and I wanted to get as much of my work done as possible.
Carol got her hair cut at Sharon's beauty shop then came out to the house. We started sorting her pictures getting ready to scrapbook.
Destry had his DR appointment at OKC.. with a back specialist and he does have a reptured disk. He will be having back surgery in the morning.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday August 8:
I meet Tracy and Destry at Lindsay to follow them to OKC. Destry's Nanna rode with me. He went into surgery around 11am and was out and doing well shortly after noon.
I took Nanna and Tracy to Long John's Silver to get a bite to eat and then Nanna and I went home so that Destry could get some rest.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday August 9:
DH went to town and got the three of us a breakfast burrito. No sooner had we got it ate and DH got a call back into Work.. Note the reason DH had to go back to work was that Jody, the plant operator, walked into a settlement of sour gas and went down. They called the ambulance and thank God he is OK.
Carol and I messed with her pictures trying to get them seperated. DH didn't get home until late so he stopped on his way home and brought us a sonic burger.
Tracy and Destry came by on their way home from the hospital. Brooklyn's mom, Katie, brought Brooklyn to Tiffani's since Destry was still in the hospital. Tiffani and Kevin are having his mom's side of the family over tonight for a cookout so they brought Brooklyn by to see Destry on their way to pick up Kevin's nephews.. They also kept Brooklyn for Tracy so Destry could get some rest.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday August 10:
I actualy cooked breakfast for DH, Carol and I. That morning we worked at getting the canopy put together. Wow we bought it at the beginning of summer so this is a record for us to get it put together the same summer. After we got it together we all took a nap and then the weather changed. Carol and I woke DH up and he put temporary screws in the frame to hold it to the deck so it wouldn't blow away. It is a good thing we did for the wind really got up but we got a much needed rain with it

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday August 11:
Work and work some more. Carol went home this morning to get some of her housework done and to get some more pictures to organize. She will be back probably Tuesday.
This evening DH and I kicked back and just relaxed. My shoulders were hurting from being on the computer all day working for supper we had the old stand by.. Frosted Flakes..:O)

    Tuesday August 12:

Carol and I meet Tiffani at Lindsay wal-mart and we picked out some material for Daltons room to make curtain toppers and pillows shams. Now to get them made. When Carol and I got back home she worked on her pictures and I covered a small folder that Tracy had gotten back in high school to hold senior pictures.
Tiffani came over for supper, Chickenfrys. Kevin was late getting home he was working in Elk City so he didn't come out. Tiffani, Carol and I played whahoo with Carol winning.

    Wednesday August 13:
Carol got around early this morning and went to Yukon to meet her friend Wanda and they went to the beauty college and had a foot massage. She got back to the house around 4. She had a great day bringing me home 4 new placemats for my dinning room table. Thanks Carol. We fixed meatloaf, fried Okra, baked beans and a garden salad for supper. Mr Dean came out for a little bit and brought us some more and probably the last of the okra. I asked him about going to the movies this week-end and he said he would love to.
Tracy and Destry came out around 7:30. Not much of the meatloaf was left but I talked them into eating what was left and a big salad. Destry is really getting around good and biting at the bit to get out of the house. We played 3 games of wahoo with Carol winning all three.
Tiffani joined body toners today along with Tara (Tracy high school friend) They get off work about the same time so it will be good having someone go with her. Tonight was Kevin's first softball practice. I think the season starts week after next on Tuesday nights.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday August 14:
Carol worked on her pictures and I worked this morning then we went in to town to get some supplies for her pictures and picked us up a sonic burger to bring home. We spent the rest of the day playing with her pictures.
Tiffani, Tracy, Destry were here tonight for awhile. The ladies played Wahoo.
In the middle of the night Carol woke us saying someone was at the door. This was about 2:30am. A two car accident had happened directly north of our mail box. One male had a serious head injury and one female had a possible broken wrist. One of the cars left the scene which began the lies that were told. "Long story short" all the ones involved knew each other and were messing around doing donuts in front of each other.. Well they did one two many.. With one almbulance, one two truck, and three highway petrol cars, No one was arrested and we lost the rest of the morning sleep. DH didn't have a chance to go back to bed before he had to go to work but Carol and I layed back down until around 9:30

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday August 15:
Carol and I went to town to day to get some more picture supplies. We cooked supper for the girls and their men.. After supper Tiffani, Tracy, Destry, Dalton, Myself and Carol played shinghi rummy. DH crashed before their tail lights were hardly out of site and I don't blame him he was running on reserve energy and he has to work again this week-end.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday August 16:
Carol's vacation is coming to a end. We just hung out this morning visiting. She gathered up her things and we loaded them into her car.
We got dressed and DH, Kevin came in and we picked up David and Robin and Grandpa Dean and headed for Norman. Tiffani, Tracy Destry and Dalton had went to OK City earlier to look for bedroom furniture (Which they purchased a set for Tracy and Destry s room) then they are to meet us at the theater around 3pm. We all plus Carol's friend from Yukon went to see OPEN RANGE.. All twelve of us enjoyed it but Grandpa really did.. He told us he had not been in a theather since 1945/46.. Wow if I had know that we would have taken him before now.
After the movie we went to Bob's Bar-B-Que in Norman for supper.. As always it was great.. Kevin and Tiff got in a little spat about not sharing.. Oh well KIDS.. LOL
September 18 is the beginning of the next survivor program.. I can hardly wait.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday August 17:
DH had to work again. I played catch up on my laundry and attempted to stay cool. I had plenty of time to play on the PC but I can't seem to get it together. I hope this week I can change out my set here at my nest.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday August 18:
Work.. and work some more. But I am slowing going to catch up from just doing the majors last week.
Weather is unbearably hot again today.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday August 19:
Worked this morning then mowed the lawn before it got realy hot then came back in and cleaned up and worked the rest of the day.
Playing on the PC tonight fighting a head cold. I think it is from going outside to smoke then coming back into the cool house. Well I shouldn't be smoking in the first place...
Destry is feeling better and it is hard for him to stay still.. He drove to Lindsay today.. Oh well sure hope he doesn't undo his back, he doesn't go to the doctor until September 4th and he isn't suppose to be driving long distants before then...
The welders were told they were excepted but they have to get their 5 million insurance.. They didn't realize they would have to have more than a million so it isn't certain what they will do.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday August 20:
    ANOTHER HOT DAY

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday August 21:
DH work is going full steam ahead. They are so busy right now.. He got home around 6 bringing us a Mickey D burger for supper. No sooner did he get his burger ate he had to go back to work not getting home until after 11pm.
Mr Newby didn't work today at Marathon.. He decided not to go out on his own with Marathon because of the insurance cost and now he isn't even going to run through C.C.& R. Oh well being a welder he will find plenty of work.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday August 22:
Tracys first shift at the Lindsay Hospital.
DH didn't get in from work until after 10. The welders had to give a answer on what they were going to do this morning.. They are staying with C.C.& R.. Go figure.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday August 23:
DH worked and I messed around with Tiffani's picture albums.
Tracy and Brooklyn picked me up around 6pm to meet DH, Tifffani and Kevin at Lindsay for supper. Mexican food tonight. When we got home DH went straight to bed and I don't blame him. The heat and the hours are taking all his energy.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday August 24:
    Another work day for DH.
I have the picture albums all out of storage.. It is nice to see them getting organized. Carol, Tiffani and Kevin came over around 3pm. Us girls played with scrapbooking while Kevin attempted to take a nap. DH came home around 4pm and off to bed he went. Carol left shortly after that to get her lodge monthly paper printed. DH woke around 6 and joined myself, Tiffani and Kevin for a home hamburger. The kids went home shortly after we ate then DH and I kicked back and watched T.V. or should I say I watched he slept.. LOL

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday August 25:
Going to be another hot one.. WORK is on the menu.. This is payweek and month end.. Oh well that's life.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday August 26:
Destry got a light duty release so he is now back on the payroll and is well setting for C.C.& R. 24hrs at that little trailer will make him feel his and Tracy's trailer home is giantantic.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday August 27:
    Another Hot day..
Mars is the closest it has ever been to earth. It is such a bright looking star. It was great to be able to witness this event.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday August 28:
I got payroll finished around 2 then I messed with some of the pictures that go in Tiffani's album.
Tiffani went bye on her way her and picked up Tracy's dog BUDDY.. He is a puppy and Gizmo didn't take to kindly of him. "Note for Tracy" Buddy fell in the Gold fish Pond.. He can Swim"
Tiffani is doing body toners and is on a diet so it was a light meal for us tonight but it was filling.
Tiffani, Robin, Carol and I scrapbooked again until around 9pm at the kitchen table. It is alot of fun. Tiffani and Carol got a couple of pages done but Robin is still at the point of sorting thru her pictures.. It won't be long and she will be putting them in albums. Tracy came by to pick up BUDDY.. she wants to scrapbook but after working a 12 hours shift and looking at another one tomorrow when she gets off she is ready to eat and go to bed.
DH just snacked when he got in. Another hot day which is really affecting his eating.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday August 29:
In the middle of the night I am up holding frozen corn on my back right side lower muscel. Then on the heating pad the rest of the night. Why this muscel is tieing in knots I don't know. The last time it did this was the week of Tracy's wedding.
Month end paper work has to be finished today.. DH said they should get Sunday and Monday off for this Labor day holiday. All the men are needing a couple of days off.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday September 1:

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday September 2:
First things first.. I made a backup of Quick books and installed it on the newer computer. Then on the phone with Quick books about it no longer sending data to Excell.. They couldn't get it fixed and blamed it on gateway.. Over 2 hours on the phone with gateway and find out I have to take the PC in to be fixed.. Bummer..
Tonight we are going to go to Lindsay to watch Tiff and Kevin play softball. Yep it is that time again..

    Regulators Mount UP

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday September 3:
Went to gateway this morning. They should call me within 48 hours to let me know if the old PC is repairable.
We just kicked back tonight finshing off some laundry and watched t.v.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday September 4:
Work on company things. I am so far behind it is hard to decide where to start. The good thing this morning is Tiffani brought Gizmo here while she went to work.. He maybe a dog but he is good company.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday September 5:
I went to the doctor today with my ear.. Seems to be sinus trouble.
Carol and Tiffani came over after they got off work. DH picked up Kevin and we had a lite supper then the ladies scrapebooked. DH and Kevin went to the OKC airport later to pick up a delivery for Marathon.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday September 6:
Carol, Tiffani and I spent the day Scrapbooking. DH golfed in a tournament at Duncan.. He had a good time but the competion was way above his team.
    SOONERS WON TONIGHT.. YEA SOONERS.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday September 7:
Carol went home after breakfast and DH went golfing. I spent the day scrapbooking.. The weather is just wonderful which provide a very relaxful day for us.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday September 13:
We had a day of playing at Little Sahara State Park located in NW Oklahoma, 4 miles south of Waynoka on Hwy. 281. ... There is around 1,450 acres of rideable sand dunes. And that is alot of Sand.. We have never rode Sand Dunes but there is always a first time for everything.
So DH, myself, Tracy, Tiff, Kevin, Robin, David, Randy, Dee, Randi Lynn and Houston rode until we couldn't ride anymore.
To see few of the pictures captured from our trip.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday September 14:
We got home about 1pm from Little Sahara State Park. We did have fun but it was a busy week-end for the park since it was the 2nd annual midwest SANDFEST.
With the help of Tracy we got the 4-wheelers unloaded rinsed off and the others things unloaded and put away.. Destry was still at the well that he had been watching all week-end at work so she went over to see him for awhile.
Tiffani and Kevin came out latter and got Kraigs 4-wheeler to take it back to him and while they were in town they brought us back supper.. Later after the 4-wheeler had air dried, Kevin put up then in the garage for us.. Whew what a blast we had this week-end but we are all glad to be home.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday September 15:
I went to bed early last night so I was up real early this morning. SOOOOOoooo I set this great fall/halloween set from Teas Graphics.. Thanks Tea I love your graphics..
Now it is 8am and it is time to start work and stop playing..
Tonight I am going with Tiffani to Nat's to a pamper Chef party.. I probably will get some small things for Christmas gifts but I really don't need anything.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday September 16:
At the Pampered Chef party I of course orded things I probably didn't need but oh well maybe someday I will start cooking again.
We went to the ballgame tonight and I took a pictures of The regulators playing the team that is suppose to be the Team to beat in the leage.. The regulators won I think by 5 runs.. They were sure proud of theirselves and I don't blame them.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday September 17:
Kevin has a stomach virus and isn't working today. Sure hope we don't catch it.
David had to go to Alabama to work.. Robin got to go with him..
This morning Tracy and I took the cars to Norman to be serviced. Both mine and hers check engine lights had come on.. Now mine is off $450.00 later but Tracy's needs a new fuel pump they said and the estimate was over $700.00 so she couldn't get hers repaired right now.. Dang having a budget isn't all it is meant to be.
While we were at Norman we went to the mall and had my rings cleaned and did a little shopping.. Tracy found her some jeans and long sleeve shirts.. Her wardrobe is like mine it needs update..
This evening I received to special phone calls. Decelia to see what we thought of last week-ends buggy rides and that we made it home without any trouble. We survived the Dune buggy trip and the Dune buggy ride was the highlight of our trip.PICTURES CAN BE SEEN HERE.
The next phone call was from Aunt Clara.. She had ran across a thank you note Stamped and all but never mailed to DH and I for having her here in July.. It was our pleasure..
Destry came by with around 40 baby guieanes.. MY GOSH SON-IN LAW what are we going to do with them all if the live??? LOL

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday September 18:
Work was the main thing today I am determined to get a grip on this in this office area before the weekend arrives and I have things stacked around my ears..
First things first.. Another great telephone call but this was from Gayla Sue.. My goodness was I ever surprised to hear from her. She is having trouble with her back again and is waiting on the doctors to get through the paper work so she can have it fixed again.. She has had to take time off from work so maybe we will get to meet sometime this fall to visit one on one.
Later in the day Norma also called me to visit for a minute.. I am so blessed to have received all these great phone calls these last few days.
Bad news always follows good news RIGHT? well it seems to anyway. My day was going just fine.. DH had told me not to worry about supper he would bring home chicken from the Ranch House so we could kick back and watch SURVIVOR...
Phone call from Tiffani about Tracy and Destry's house changes the mood. Seems the Ladies banker is not going to let her carry the note on the house and finance her new home.. POOP! Now what are the kids going to do.. They already have bought bedroom furniture and have had it delivered to the house..
When Tracy got here I had to tell her to get ahold of Janet about the house.. Oh the tears.. This really stinks.
The Survivor program was good and I believe it is going to be a good and very different season.. I will admit they are going over the top with the men taking off their clothes and if it continues on that line I might have to wean myself from watching it.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday September 20:
DH worked today and I did some light housework and played with the scrapbook things.
Kevin and Tiffani also worked. Tiffani until noon then she came here to watch the Sooners play with me.. When DH came home the three of us went to KFC and ate supper then Tiff went home.. Kevin didn't get home until around 9pm.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday September 21:
Relaxful day.. We skipped church, DH weedeated around the house just finishing up before the rain hit..
Tiffani, Kevin, Tracy Destry and Dalton went to the State fair. We just couldn't get into the swing of things to go with them. DH has worked everyday this week with only Sunday off and he is so tired so we stayed home..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday September 22:
After I did my work I played in myfamily.com Playroom for awhile.. I really miss getting to spend time in there.
I stirred up a pot of leftover vegetable and rice mixture for a side dish for supper.. Whew it was good but hard on the stomach. DH loves it when I do this.. LOL He didn't make it in until after 7 so we were hungry so anything would have tasted good.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday September 23:
This was Tracy's first day to work out at the Keyclub training center in Lindsay.. She won't be able to move tonight.
Tiffani is off early today but she is going home to play catch up on her housework and rest.. She and Kevin teams play eachother tonight at 8:45.. If the weather is good I plan on going into town to watch them..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday September 24:
Last nights game.. The regulators team (which Tiffani is on) and The Green Team (which Kevin was on) played eachother. REGULATORS won.. Tiffani had to set out the first half of the game.. C.J. is now playing the Regulators.
Tonight Tiffani and Kevin came over after work so Tiffani could do the filing. I cooked supper and we had a great visit.
DH is so stressed out over work as soon as they went home he went to bed.. He is so tired of the ups and downs of the oilfield..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday September 25:
Tracy went to her bank to see if by chance they could borrow the full amount for the house.. Cool they can now what will Janet do go up again? We will see.
Update from Tracy.. Humm nope Janet came off her asking price by 3... Well now the next step is the all the inpections and the paper work.. Who knows they might actualy get this home afterall and get in by Thanksgiving.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday September 26:
I didn't do much work today.. I have a nasty sty on my left eye.. I joined Tracy at wal-mart and I got some salve to put on my eye so I hope it doesn't come to a head. While there I had Tracy pick out everyday outfit for Brookly that DH and I could give her for her Birthday even though it isn't until November I didn't want to take a chance of not getting her one outfit.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday September 27:

    49 and holding...
DH worked and I scrapedbooked most of the day.. The girls and Kevin brought me a double swing for my BD and I couldn't have been more surprised.
Kevin took our mower over to Tracy's and mowed her little lawn for her and then took it to their house and he and Tiffani did theirs... They brought it home around 7 and joined DH and I for homemade mexican food.. Yummmm If I say so myself I did good on it.
After supper we had to celebrate my birthday with a game of cards and some cake and Ice Cream.. Thank goodness they didn't put candels on it because I would have never gotten it blown out.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday September 28:
Lawn is mowed and we had a very relaxful day at home.. Just DH and I.. Sonic for Supper what a good life.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday September 29:
After work Tiffani came over to do the payroll taxes and DH went by to get Kevin on his way home.. They joined us for DH famous supper... Pancakes ~ Eggs ~ Sausage..
Shortly after supper they went on home and we kicked back and watched tv.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday September 30:
Tiffani and Kevin played tonight.. We no sooner got to the ballgame and the North wind started blowing.. We thought we were freezing.. We were going to leave right after Tiffs game but Kevins team was a girl short and they asked our Tracy to play.. We last two innings and to the pickup to watch the final 3 ... She was so tickled to get to play.. Kevin usually pitches but the coach decided tonight he would pitch so Tracy got to play the whole game and Kevin set out the first 3. Dang if life isn't confusing.

    OCTOBER

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday October 1:
The weather is great.. About 55 for a high today.. Sure wish it wasn't the 1st so I could have curled up with my new book hubby bought me for my birthday.
Tiff and Kevin both have games tonight it is just to cool so we are staying home tonight..
This morning we got the estimate on a building we are wanting built on the North side of our property.. Wow it will be nice or it better be for the price.
I fixed a big pot of soup for supper. I have already had a taste and it is soooo good.. This is soup weather.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday October 2:
Work Work Work.. The first of the month is here again.. Hard to believe it is already October.. Where did June and July go??? Oh well they say the older you get time flies.. It is flying right before my eyes.
I am so excited it does look like we will be having the building built.. Finalized the prize and details with the contractor. They should start on it the middle of this month.
Tonight is survivor night... DH brought in Rex Chicken from out local resturant for us and he also got Tiff and Kevin some since Tiff usually bring home Jo's Pizza for us on Thursday.. He wasn't in the mood for pizza.. :O) And I was in the mood for what ever I didn't have to cook.
Carol came over and had her hair cut and brought her exercise equipment to Tiffani. The storage building she has rented is getting full and she thought Tiffani might use the pieces and also would give it back when she got her a place again. It is so sad that she is having to move.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday October 3:

This is my Halloween Card/quilt piece for those that like to have one or both.
I do ask that you save them to your own server.. DO NOT direct link to me.. PLEASE..
At the Playroom we always try to do a new holiday quilt. I haven't been able to play in PSP for a long time and I can tell.. I was surprised I remembered how to make one.
I am looking forward to Norma being here tomorrow.. The men are going golfing and we are going to try to do a little scrapbooking.. So I guess I better get off of here and get my work done and start straightening up the house..

That's is about all we did today.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday October 13:
Tracy, Tiffani and I went shopping this morning.. Tracy was wanting to find a bed set for her and Tiffani and I was more or less just along for the ride. After making a couple of stores she chose a solid sage green spread with white and assorted green and sage plaid acessories.
We can hardly wait for the week-end of 24-26 Oct 2003 when An Affair of the Heart comes to the State Fairgrounds, at Oklahoma City, OK.. It will be fun to watch the girls shop with them both having homes to put things.. Well almost anyway.. Tracy and Destry should close on their house November 14th if not before.
We didn't stay out long because Tracy needed to get some rest because has to work tonight. Tiffani and I went home after we dropped Tracy off and worked on month and quarter end taxes.. Poop when we want to finish quickly it never does..
DH came in around 5pm sicker than a dog.. He took a dose of medicine and straight to bed for him and I played on the PC UNTIL the phone rang and it was Lisa.. Bad news.. One of Tracy's "B group nurses" Amber passed away this morning. It was a sad ending to a beautiful day.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    October 14:
Work today to get things under control so that I can go to Ambers funeral tomorrow.
We skipped the games tonight since DH was sick.. Kevin was out of town so he didn't play and Tiffani didn't play until 8:45 and by then DH was already in bed and I was gave out..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday October 15:
Ambers funeral was today. Tracy and I meet Lisa, her mom Charlotte and her husband at PV and then picked up Tammy at Straford and we all rode together to the funeral. It was a hour and half memorial service.. Such a sad a event..
Afterwards all of us plus Josh and Heather went to Chili's and ate while they are shared memories of Amber.
We didn't get home until 7:30 and DH cold isn't much better so we didn't go to the Softball game. Tiffani's team won, Kevin's lost.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday, October 16:
Work is about all around her today except today was the first day that Nat's Aunt came to clean.. Wow she did a great job.. This is the best $40.00 I have spent in a long time.
We did watch Surviors this evening and DH is getting a terrible head cold so he called it a night shortly afterwards and I played some in the Playroom condensing post.. It is good to be back at the Playroom and not feel that I have to stay on top of all the projects that are going on..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday, October 17:
David and Robin came by around 4:30 to look at the building. He is going to do the electrical work on it for us. They were still here when DH got home but as soon as they left he laid down, he is still real sick. It has settled in his chest and his smokers cough has gotten worse.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday, October 18:
All of us meet at the Ranch House for breakfast this morning.. Extra was Rick (Destry's best man and Charlie and ??? (Destry's younger cousins). After we are DH, Tiffani and I meet Carol, David and Robin at Chickasha and we moved Carol's things to her new home.. It is so cute and just perfect for her.
That night DH still isn't feeling well so we gave our OU tickets to Kevin and we watched another victory on TV.
Tiffani was going to go with Kevin but she has the same thing as DH and she gave her ticket to ?? that plays on the same ball team as Kevin.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday, October 19:
DH still isn't feeling to well so we stayed at home all day.. No company he watched tv and I played in the playroom condensing post..

Dad came by two times today.. He had Paul Pratt burn CD of his first tape.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday, October 21:
I worked hard getting time entered this morning and around noon Tiffani and Tracy came out, Tiffani bringing us Papa burgers.. We had a great visit until around 2:30 and they went their way.. Tracy played ball on Kevin's team tonight.. She had a blast.. They lost their first game and won their second one.. She wishes that she didn't have to work tomorrow night so she could play again.
I tried to burn Dad's CD but I am having trouble getting the sesion to close.. Going to have to start over.

    Wednesday, October 22:
I have alot of catch up to do in my journal.. Today I will work finishing payroll.. do a little laundry.. :O)
Tonight Tiff and Kevin have their last softball games of the season... And that is all on my schedule for today other than trying again to get the CD burner to close a session. Darn I tried again last night and it still didn't work..

    Thursday, October 23:
The men are here working on putting the metal on the building.. I will post a picture when they have it done.
Yesterday October 22 ~ Destry's Great Grandmother passed away and also my Dad's wife Jonnie Ann, mother passed away.. Both had been in poor health for awhile but we are never ready to loose loved ones. I think both funeral services will be grave side.. but in different towns.. Sure hope at different times so I don't have to choose which to go to.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday October 24:
Worked today.. Around 4pm I called Dad's to see when Jonnie Ann's services would be and Jonnie Ann told me they had them at 2pm today.. I could kick myself for not calling yesterday to find out.. Well I would have went if I had known.... I wish the communication was better between Dad and I.

David came out tonight and worked awhile on wiring the new shop.. I packed for our trip then we settled in to watch the show Survivor..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Friday October 31:
We left around 8am with Norma and Leo going leaf viewing.. First stop was at Ruby's dinner for breakfast.. You have to start your day on a good breakfast.. :O)
Next stop was at Loves right before you cross the state line. Last year Norma and I bought some cute Christmas ornaments at a Oklahoma Trading post and was hoping to get more this year but go figure the store closed down the first of September..
Next stop was the motel.. Our rooms were on the second floor and as steep as the stairs were you would have thought they were on the 20th by the time we climbed them.
After we got the air condition turned down we went to two wineries and then we stopped at the little pub in Altus to have the Atlantic sandwich.. Yummmie .. then we made another winery which I believe we might be stocked up well enough to make it until next year.
Back to the motel where we called it a early night. It was a great day spent with very special friends..

    Saturday, November 1:
We rode the Van Burean train. It was OK but not something that we will want to do again.. But we can say we have done it now.
Then we traveled on up to Eureka Springs. Catching some of the OU / OSU game on the radio.. I was so glad that we made it to the motel before the second half.. And Chester was too.. And Yeaaa OU won..
After the game was over we had dinner at a local cafe. Not something to brag about but then again it wasn't bad either. After we ate we rode around for a couple of hours before we went back to our room.. The motel has a great view of the mountains, I am glad we booked at this one even though it is also on the 2nd floor.. Haahee but it has a elevator..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday, October 3:
Norma and I started our day out early.. The guys wanted to sleep in so we set around and had a great visit.. Later we had a body mesage.. This was my first.
After doing some more sight seeing we headed toward home. We stopped at a few road side shops before we got back on the super slab.. I did purchase two wine glasses at a flea market that will match the crystal ware that I got from Aunt Sophia.
We stopped at a Arby's for a quick suppper making it home around 9pm.. Norman and Leo still have a hour drive to get home so they went on shortly after we got their things into their car..
It was a great week-end and I already look forward to next years fall trip that we plan to make with them..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday, November 3:
Today is going to be a day full of work.. Being the first of the month and pay week I have so much to get done and I have been on the PC for a hour now so it is time to get ready to work and stop the playing.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday, November 4:
The morning started as most of my Tuesday Morning.. I started working around 6:20 but around 9:30 I got a call from my DH with shocking and sad news. My oldest brother ~ Billy Glen passed away around 8 this morning of a massive heart attack.. No forewarning.. He had gotten to location and began his woek that he loved running the dozer.. He was in the dozer when other employees found him dead.
DH didn't want to tell me over the phone but due to the fact that he wasn't close to home I am glad he did.. The day went by in a blur, notifing family and friends and gathering together as family at Dad's and then later at Judys.. Right now I can't think clearly
I praise God for I shall not let this dampen my faith. I truely do not understand and I don't believe it is for me to understand.. One thing I know is that all things have there season and Bill's season is done.
At this time services are pending but we believe they will be Friday November 7, 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay.. He will be laid to rest in the family plot at Greenhill next to my Mom and my baby brother..

    Wednesday, November 5:
DH took Bills jeans and undershirt down to Winans once I got them ironed.. We then meet in Lindsay and made the Flowers arrangements and then went to Judy's to meet with the pastor.. Randy Allen of the First Baptist Church ~~ and with Gaylon that will be giving the ulogy.. Around 6pm Winans called and Bill is ready for viewing.. Now it really becomes real.. Oh Bub I want to be strong for your boys but I miss you so..

The songs that have been picked is ~Stairway to Heaven ~ sung by my Mom and Dad
    On a Cloud
And Libby Williams is going to sings Bills favorite ~ How Great Thou Art
I can only imagine will be played as friends exit the church..
    Song Lyrics

    I can only imagine
I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by Your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When Your face is before me
    I can only imagine

    I can only imagine
    Surrounded by Your glory
    What will my heart feel
Will I dance for You, Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
    Will I sing "Hallelujah"
Will I be able to speak at all
    I can only imagine
    I can only imagine

    I can only imagine
    When that day comes
    And I find myself
    Standing in the sun
    I can only imagine
    When all I will do
    Is forever, forever worship You
    I can only imagine, yeah

    Friday, November 21:
Most of the day was spent helping Tracy bring things from the trailer to her house.. On the second load Erin and her boys came by the trailer.. She helped us pack and load some and visited at the same time.. They came out to Tracy's house for a little while and I know Tracy loved having her first company.

WORK.. I have got to get my act together since this will be short week due to it being Thanksgiving Weeek..
DH and I are still trying our best to kick these nasty colds.. Now it looks like Tiffani is getting one too.. If possible she is going to try to get into the Dr. tomorrow.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday, November 25:
Tiffani had a morning DR appointment for the cold that she has .. They perscribed her some medicine which she had filled at Noon while on her lunch break.. She shouldn't have worked today but they had two out on vacation and with this being a holiday week the bank is real busy.. Around 2.. after taking the medicine she had a allergic reaction.. There wasn't a spot on her body that wasn't beat red.. and she was itiching like crazy.. The scarry part was it was causing her to have a harder time catching her breath.. With a already stopped up nose she was miserable.. Benedril is all they said would help her out. A does of that and cool shower and straight to bed for her.

    Wednesday, November 26:
Work this morning but couldn't seem to get anything done so I finally gave up and did laundry and picked up around the house..
I tried again today to work on a page for Bill but I just am having such a hard time finding what I want.. Ann at the Playroom found a beautiful cloud background to go with the song that was played at Bill's services.. Than another special Lady.. Sandi Bee set this beautiful page for me displaying some fabulous CLOUDS..

    GO see them here..

    On A Cloud

    I was a wise man
    I lived my life
    As if tomorrow wasn’t there
I loved my people, I walked the line
Now I’m flying through the air

On a cloud, on a cloud
    On a cloud, looking down

Tell my brothers, that I love ‘em
Tell my sisters that I’m free
Tell my children, oh how I miss ‘em
But heaven’s waiting there for me

On a cloud, on a cloud
    On a cloud, looking down

    I’m flying like a bird
    It’s everything that you’ve heard
Keep your eye up in the sky
You might see me sailing by
Farewell fine people, we’ll meet again
    In another time and place
Look toward the heavens, when I cross your mind
You just might see my face, on a cloud

On a cloud, on a cloud
    Looking down

I didn't get a page made yet but I am working on getting one done.. Thanks Sandi and Ann for all you help..

Around 2:30 DH came home early and we went to PV Wal-Mart and bought a Ping Pong (Table Tennis ) table ... Afterwards we stopped at Kentucky fried and ate a early supper.. Getting home around 4:30.. Both of us laid down for a rest but before we got settled David and Robin came over then Tiffani and Kevin.. LOL
David got the last of the lights put up in the building and then they put the Ping Pong table together.. Oh we had a blast playing.. but we did have to take a break so we could watch survivor .. It is so sad how hooked on that show DH and I are...
The ping pong table is going to be a wonderful activity to do this winter..
Tiffani is feeling much better.. She went back to the DR this morning and they gave her another type of medicine and it seems to be helping her stoped up nose and the benedril helped the allergic reaction.

    Monday, December 1:

I thought I would quickly change out my pages well POOP.. NO SUCH LUCK.. I messed them all up.. The background on this page was what I had intended to be on all my pages but for some reason when I renamed the files they went blank.. Oh well life goes on.. I might get them fixed this week but I doubt it.. Tiffani is on vacation this week and will be here shortly to spend the day with me.. and DH will be back home to change to go to GEORGE DEAN's funeral services.. I am not going since I haven't worked since Thursday and I will only work 4 days this week then we start our vacation so I GOT to start working..
Tiffani did all the company taxes and filing and I worked on paying their first of the month bills and getting Payroll cut.
We finished up around 5pm so it was a long day and I thank Tiffani for helping me get caught up..
Kevin came here when he got off work and fixed speggettii for all of us.. then of couse after supper we had to play one game of hearts before they headed home.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Tuesday, December 2 :

With the hard work Tiffani and I did was not without cause.. She and I left home this morning to ride the Amtrax Heartland Flyer train to Gainesville, TX to do some shopping at the Prime Outlets This is our first time to ride the train anywhere so we are excited.
UPDATE: The train was great.. Going down we really did enjoy the scenery and a great visit.. It is so different to really get to talk without having to worry about the traffic.
We had a great time shopping but we were ready to go home way before the due time to catch the train and there isn't anything to do other than shop.
It was a little spooky on the wait for the train at the depo to return home.. We were the only ones awaiting to board and their was no security at the depo but without trouble we boarded and made it back to Pauls Valley at the scheduled time.

When we got home I got on line a reserved Tiffani and Tracy a room at the same motel that we will be staying in at Independence MO.. Yep they decided they are going to the game.. They will be driving their own car since DH and I are going to stick around a couple more days after the game.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Wednesday, December 3 :
Today was a mix of work and Play.. This morning I did my regular company work but around noon I went to town and picked Tiffani and Tracy up a burger from Mickey D's and went out to Tracy's where she and Tiffani were painting. I potted a couple of the plants that I got from Bills services and gave them to Tracy for her new house.. Every home needs some green plants. LOL and She has such great window light they will love their new home.. :O)
I had a 2:30 hair appointment.. Seems like it is thinning more than lately but it still growning faster than I can remember to get my appointments.. if that is possible.. Washed the Suberban then back to Tracy's to help the girls.. THey finished painting the front room and we called it quits around 5.. They went to Pizza Hut for supper but DH and I decided to skip and eat a lite supper at home.. We seem to want to go to bed with the chickens.. Darn time change I don't think I will ever get use to it..

Company dinner at Bob's Pig shop went over well. It would have been nice if we all could have been served in one room but with there being 40+ of us attending we had to spilt into two rooms.

    Friday, December 5 :

8am DH and I in our vehicle and Tiffani and Tracy in Tiff's car headed out for Kansas City.. We got there around 2:30 and checked into our rooms then went to the ISLE to do some gambeling.. The girls seemed to have a great time even with Tracy leaving empty handed... We thought we was going to have to pull Tiffani from the table of let it ride.. Yep she was holding her own at the card game...

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Saturday, December 6 :
Teresa and CJ came to our Motel and we all went to eat lunch.. It was great that Tiffani got to see CJ while we were in Kansas. Around 4pm we went to the Stadium and it was a good thing because there was alot of traffic and the parking lots were filling fast.
The girls sat near Ron and Janice Shafer ~~ David and Robin ~~ Todd and Pam.. Our seats were not close to theirs.

Funny how you see different people that you haven't seen in years at different events. DH and I were standing in line to get a cup of hot chocolate and low and behold there was Ray Murray.. A highschool friend of mine. I hadn't seen him in I know over 15 years.. Here I was with a tobagan on my head and a hooded coat tight around my neck and I am sure I looked terrible but I went over to say Hello.. I nugged up to him and said "Excuse me Sir could you spare some money for a lady... He never really looked at me and said NO.. and turned back to the line.. I laughed and said oh come on just a little money,, he turned again and looked at me and said NO.. I said Dang you don't know who I am do you??? He said no sorry.. Then when I said who I was he laughed and we gave each other big hugs and of course then he said he had a little extra money to share if I needed it.. LOL
You never know who you will see..

    Arrowhead Stadium
    Kansas City, MO
    7:00 pm
Kansas State spoiled The Sooners undefeated season, getting walloped by Kansas State 35-7 what a terrible upsetting game.. But I still believe we will end up playing in the national title game at New Orleans.. the tickets are unbelievable high so we will probably be watching that game at home.. :O)

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Sunday, December 7 :
Tiffani and Tracy headed toward home about 9am getting home around 3pm.. DH and I checked into the Red Roof Inn near the Americstar Casino.. We played for about two hours then I started getting the chills so he took me to the motel and I went straight to bed. Fever followed the chills oh my goodness I had worried about DH getting sick but here I am the one that got sick.. Poop,.. DH went back to gamble some but was back at the motel by 7pm and we both crashed for the night.

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Monday, December 8 :
Feeling some better we went straight to the Ameri_star casino and played a little before heading home. Well I finally hit a slot machine and brought home about 1,300.00 clear for me.. NOT FOR DH.. :O)
On the way home we went through Guthrie to see their lights which were beautiful so we didn't get home until around 8:30 pm...

    Tuesday, December 9 :
Tiff brought Gizmo and Robert brought the company time by this morning.. Gee what a vacation for DH.. Can't even sleep in when we get back home.. LOL

    Wednesday, December 10 :
Dang I woke up pissed at the world.. I hate it when I am pissed and have no reason to be.
Still in my gown tail and two of the company hands came by on their way to a location out here by our house.. I should have been tickled because when they were here they changed a flat tire on DH pickup.. but NOT it just pissed me off more.. Then they had barely gotten gone and Robert came by again to bring the company time to me.. HELLO we are on VACATION... Oh well I think he really needs to talk to DH daily to survive the business end of things..
Today we did finalize the sell of the trailer by taking the title to the young mans bank and contacting the propane and electric company.. Yeepee no more worrying about the pipes freezing this winter.. There anyway...
With the trailer deal done we went to Norman to do a little Christmas shopping.. We didn't find any bargins but did get Kevins, Destry's and a gift for Dalton and Brooklyn together.
When we made it back home DH got the tree and things out of the attic and we started putting out some of the Christmas decorations .. Thanks Tiffani for sticking around and helping with the tree lights. Not finished yet when David called and their cable is broke so they wanted to come out to visit.. Us ~ Tiff ~ Kevin and David ~ Robin ended up all going to the Ranch house for supper..Tiffani and Kevin went on to their home but David and Robin came back with us to the house and we ended up playing 3 games of Canasta with Robin and I winning two of the games..

    X---XX---X---XX---X

    Thursday, December 11 :
We finished decorating the tree and relaxed the morning away then we went over to Tracy's at noon and had a Mickey D lunch and then DH fixed her kitchen sink while she shampooed her frontroom carpet and the den furniture.. I put a few more things away for her in Brooklyn's room so they could get her bed set up before she comes this week-end. THis evening we just kicked back and watched tv.. Survivor..LOL and of course I squeezed in enough time to play at the Playroom.. We started out Christmas Card exchange today.. This was my begining post..

I didn't get everything bought that I should have but we had fun.. When we got back home David and Robin came out and the 6 of us watched the 2003 Heisman Trophy Announcement on TV... .. Congrats to The sooner quarterback Jason White.. when it was over Leo and Norma headed home and the four of us ended up playing 3 games of Canasta again. (Robin and I winning two of the games.

    TODAY's NEWS
Man captured in Tikrit appears to be Saddam, U.S. says
    Hamza Hendawi, Associated Press

    Published December 14, 2003 SAD14

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- U.S. military captured a man in the basement of a building in Tikrit during raids seeking Saddam Hussein, and initial efforts to verify his identity indicate he is the deposed Iraqi dictator, U.S. officials said today.

``It certainly looks good,'' one senior U.S. official in Washington said, cautioning more scientific testing, possibly DNA, was being done early today to try to confirm the identity.

Prime Minister Tony Blair welcomed the capture, his spokesman said today, adding that it ``removes the shadow'' of his possible return from Iraq.

The senior U.S. official said the captured man's appearance did not immediately look like Saddam, but additional efforts to ascertain his identity indicated he was the former leader.

The officials spoke only on condition of anonymity.

    Tikrit is Saddam's hometown.

In Baghdad, the U.S.-led occupation notified reporters that a ``very important'' announcement will be made at a news conference scheduled for 6 a.m. CST but did not give details.

Earlier, a member of the U.S.-appointed Governing Council said Saddam had been captured alive in Tikrit.

Council member Dara Noor al-Din told the Associated Press that the council was informed of the former dictator's capture in a telephone call from L. Paul Bremer, the U.S. administrator for Iraq.

``Bremer has confirmed to the Governing Council that Saddam was captured in Tikrit,'' Noor al-Din said. ``He spoke on the phone to several members, including Ahmad Chalabi.''

Chalabi is a leading member of the council who has close links to the Bush administration.

A council spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Bremer had relayed news of Saddam's capture to the council. A council delegation planned to visit Saddam in captivity later today, the spokesman said.

Another Governing Council member, Jalal Talabani, was earlier quoted by Iran's official news agency, IRNA, as saying Saddam had been captured in Tikrit.

Talabani told IRNA that Saddam's detention will bring stability to Iraq.

``With the arrest of Saddam, the source financing terrorists has been destroyed and terrorist attacks will come to an end. Now we can establish a durable stability and security in Iraq,'' Talabani was quoted as saying.

In Baghdad, residents fired small arms in the air in celebration, and gunfire echoed in neighborhoods across the city. Earlier in the day, rumors of the capture sent people streaming into the streets of Kirkuk, a northern Iraqi city, firing guns in the air in celebration.

``We are celebrating like it's a wedding,'' said Kirkuk resident Mustapha Sheriff. ``We are finally rid of that criminal.''

``This is the joy of a lifetime,'' said Ali Al-Bashiri, another resident. ``I am speaking on behalf of all the people that suffered under his rule.''

Before DH left the Carpenter (WILLIE) busted a pipe and water flooded the bathroom before DH could get to the main shut off valve to get the water turned off.. Crap I told them several times that I THOUGHT it should be turned off before WILLIE started working on it but heck I am just a parnoid woman and don't know anything.. LOL

    Family Christmas at Judy's

    Happy Birthday
    ~ Trevor ~

Tiffani had to work this morning so after a short visit with Tracy (She stopped by Tiff's on her way home from work) Tiffani took me and Gizmo to my house to get ready for the carpenter to start again on the shower.
I was so tired after all the mopping that had to be done yesterday I was sure hoping that things would go better today.. NOPE didn't happen.. Was this meant to be.. I am beginning to think that we aren't suppose to get a new shower.
Carol came over about 11am with high hopes that we would be making candy.. Still no water so NO WAY are we making candy at my house.. So we instead went to the local wal-mart and bought a few gifts for the little ones that would be a the McCaleb gathering and then by Sonic for a sack lunch to take home.. Gee whiz we sure were hoping that Willie had made some headway on the shower but he is having a ------- of a time.. So we kicked back and watch a new movie Carol had bought CHANGING PLACES.. While we were watching the movie ... Tiffani called and she and Grandpa Dean were stranded at Papa's ... she went to Grandpa's after work to help him with the family Christmas cards and they then went to lunch at Papa's and when they had finished her car wouldn't start.. Dang what a week-end with the guys away... Well thankfully DAVID doesn't like to hunt so he didn't go with them and he was home and went down and jumped her off.. (UPDATE: BATTERY is the problem as far as we know)
Later ~~ Tiffani stayed here with WILLIE while Carol took me to Tiffs so I could shower and she picked sub-way up for me and then we went back to my house.. WILLIE is still working and it is after 5 and I am a wreck to say the least.. Like a dummy I had just about had it so I poured and drank.. not sipped a large glass of wine.. Nope that didn't fix anything .. LOL but Oh well.. what is done is done.. Carol went on to Judys and Tiffani and I waited on Tracy and more or less booted WILLIE out of the house... ENOUGH already ... He got the water back on so leave it be until tomorrow.. PLEASE.... FINALLY we got to Judy's and she is flat on her back in bed.. Oh sis I just know it is not going to get better on it's own but you are the oldest and you know best.

    Monday, December 22 :

Woke with a sore troat this morning.. I think it is from all the action over the week-end..
I hope to get the house back in order so that I can relax some before the holiday.. but with the shower installation things got really messed up.. Oh well at least we have it almost done.
Work is taking a toll on me as the end of each year does.. Maybe when I get things to the accountant then I can close the books at least until after Christmas.. That is a big MAYBE..
Kevin is on vacation this week so dang Gizmo won't be here until Christmas Eve.. LOL.. Sure miss the little rascal..
Well the morning coffee has been drank so it is time to start my work day.

    Thursday, December 25 :

May the love of Jesus be in your heart
    and always.
THIS IS HOW IT WAS SPENT ON THE DEAN ACRE.
Those that Shared the holiday on the Dean Acre were
    Chester and I (Gayla)
Our Oldest Daughter: Tiffani and her husband Kevin and Grandpup Gizmo
Our Youngest Daughter: Tracy and her husband Destry and his children: Dalton and Brooklyn..and Grandpup Buddy
    Chesters Dad: Grandpa Dean

Tom was in the oven by 7am and the sides in the works.. Tracy and her family arrived around 9am with Tiffani and Kevin pulling in shortly after them..

Tiffani wasn't feeling the best in the world.. she is having another run of the flu .. Really I wonder if any of us have completely gotten over the one we had in November.

After hello's hugs and Merry Christmas greetings we all gathered around the Christmas tree for pictures.. Then the gifts were handed out. Before the gifts were opened Brooklyn lead us in the Christmas song "Jingle Bells" and the gifts were opened. I do think that both girls and their families were happy with their gifts we chose for them.. At least I hope so.. it is getting harder and harder to buy for them. Money just doesn't seem to buy what it use to .. but no amount of money can buy the love that Chester and I have for our two girls.. They are a blessing that only parents can understand... and their families are a extended blessing that we are so glad to have. While the little ones (Dalton and Brooklyn's) where waiting patiently for their Dad (Destry) to put their gifts together we started putting the final touches to lunch. Yams, bean cassole, and brocolie and rice cassole on top of the stove ready to go in the oven just as soon as the ham is warmed and the dressing is set ... Gravy is made just waiting to go on the dressing when.. lunch took a turn ...
I took the ham out of the oven which was being heated in a glass cassole dish and set it on top of the stove.. Then while moving it to it's place on the counter.. BAMB the glass popped into a million and one pieces.. GLASS is everywhere..
except in the ham which was tightly covered with foil.. and the dressesing was still in the oven...
The bean and Brocoli cassoles, the gravy and the sweet potatoes.. there was glass pieces in them all..
OH MY GOODNESS what a mess.. and I didn't buy extra ingredients ... But to the rescue was two wonderful girls, a champ of a son-in-law ~ Kevin ~ and a precious Husband that jumped in and helped get it all cleaned up and a new batch of things that were ruined back in the making...
Kevin went to the Erin Springs superette and got more things to cook and what they didn't have he got from his and Tiffani's and brought it back with a loving smile .... (Destry was knee deep in putting toys together and keeping kids out of the kitchen while this was going on.)
I would have just sit down and cried if it wasn't for them all helping me turn this back into a great meal.
Grandpa Dean arrived shortly after the glass and mess was cleaned up wondering what the hold up on dinner was all about.. LOL..
Believe it or not we began eating at 12:30pm
After Lunch most took a cat nap to let the Turkey settle while Granpa Dean, Dalton, Brooklyn and I played a game of Whaa Hooooo.. With the game finished and no place to lay his head Grandpa Dean went home for his afternoon nap while the rest of us kicked back to watch The Lion King..
Tracy and her family had to leave around 4 to take Brooklyn back home and with Tiffani feeling some better after her nap we played a couple of games of cards. Then Tracy and Dalton came back over to show us his remote HUMMER that Santa had brought him and also so Tracy could play cards with us...
In between Cards and After we finished a final plate of left overs.. :O) Around 9pm we all called it a day ..

It really did become a Christmas to remember.. I am sure in a couple of years I will be able to really laugh about this meal but for now I am staying clear of all my glass cassole dishes.. :O)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and was surrounded by their loved ones and that your dinner went off without any broken glass...

May God's blessing and grace be with YOU now and always.

    Friday, December 26 :
After Christmas sales.... Chet and I got to the Lindsay Wal-Mart at 7am and purchased both girls enough outside lights for next year, some other misc. Christmas items for our house... We was expecting a crowd but NOPE not in Lindsay.. After we payed out we went to the Ranch House for breakfast and then home... Chet settled in to watch tv and I played on the pc looking for 2004 vacation deals.. giving up after awhile I curled up with a book and was soon taking a nap.. Chet became interested in a movie and didn't get a good nap like I did but he should have taken advantage while the time was good.
